Welcome to the Medtronic TC 1 Mile

Dear Friends in the Media,

On behalf of the Twin Cities In Motion Board of Directors, Staff and Association Volunteers, welcome to

the 13th running of the Medtronic TC 1 Mile. We appreciate your interest in our event and are eager to

have you share it with your readers, listeners, and viewers.

The Medtronic TC 1 Mile may be a short race — one the professional wave men can run in less than four

minutes — but we’re packing a lot into our new 1760-yard course on the Minneapolis riverfront. We’ll host

more than 2500 runners, 50 Corporate Team Challenge teams, and dozens of local racers running for the

USATF Minnesota Team Circuit Championship.

Capping off the evening, we’ll have professional runners racing for a share of the $25,000 prize purse,

and a chance at the $10,000 event record bonuses for men and women. We’re also proud to have the

race be part of the Bring Back the Mile GP Tour.

We thank you for your interest in the Medtronic TC 1 Mile. We appreciate the effort you put forth to help

share our stories with the public.

Sincerely,

Virginia Brophy Achman

Executive Director, Twin Cities In Motion
