- Dirt, sod & concrete are accepted at the Foxhole Landfill only.- Clean drywall (not painted) is accepted at full service sites for recycling; reduced fee rates are available at the Foxhole Landfill.- Carpet and carpet padding are considered construction and demolition materials.- Maximum delivery: 10 yd3 to Full Service Facility. Larger loads must go directy to Foxhole Landfill.

Stickers are used to designate your Fee Category. In this brochure the fees are shown in two separate categories: Blue/White and Orange.Mecklenburg County residents are issued Blue Stickers; Out of County residents who purchase a White Sticker will use the same fee category as Mecklenburg County residents.

Out of County Residents who do not purchase a sticker will pay fees for EACH visit to the facility in the Orange Category.

· 1 Item Only Category: vehicles with any of the following: 1 large bulky item; such as a sofa, or a chair, or a table or Mattress Set. Only single items/small amounts less than 1-96 gallon can is eligible in this category. If more than 1 item, see Group 2 below.

· Vehicles with the Following: More than 1 bulky item; Loaded with more than 1–96 gallon can; multiple items; vehicle loaded with more than 25% capacity. Any Work Vans (such as no side windows); Pick-up Trucks (without built up sides), Single axle trailers 8 ft or smaller, Units MUST be less than 3 cubic yards this category.

*Loads of logs larger than 24” in diameter must use Compost Central or Foxhole Facility (see back for addresses & map).

- 1 unit = 1 load of material* Ex: Loaded vehicle + loaded trailer = 2 units- *No vehicle longer than a standard sized pickup truck or vehicle/trailer combination with a payload quantity of greater than 10 yd3 will be accepted at the Recycling Centers for flat fee. Larger loads must use the Foxhole Landfill.

- Uncovered/Unsecured Loads: All fees may be increased by 50% for any and all vehicles that enter County facilities with an uncovered or unsecured load.

Vehicles using the weight scales but not using the facility for disposal shall pay a $10 charge.

DEFINITIONS

Bulky WasteNon-spoilable items that may include furniture, couches, tables, clothes, mattresses and box springs, styrofoam, and other such items.

Construction & Demolition Waste (C&D)The waste material generated in the construction, renovation or removal of structures. C&D debris may include concrete, brick, block, wood, gypsum, asphalt pavement and shingles, metal, miscellaneous plastics, carpet, carpet padding, windows, doors, fixtures, and wood, as well as land-clearing debris.

Yard WasteMaterials such as brush, grass clippings, limbs less than 5 feet long, leaves, untreated wooden pallets, and unpainted wooden pallets. Note: Sorry we cannot accept food scraps. For additional information on food waste, visit WipeOutWaste.com.

Attention all customers...All residential and non-residential vehicles must display a sticker that will determine the payment level for services, such as bulky items, tires, yard waste, construction and demolition services, and certain bagged trash disposal. Non-Resident stickers can be purchased at the cashier’s booth at each Full-Service Convenience Center – Foxhole, Hickory Grove, North Mecklenburg and Compost Central.
