Duties and Accomplishments Maintenance of all the company’s operating plants and installations at Phikwe Central Shafts Maintenance and proper installation of Phikwe Central Shaft water reticulation including –main

mine dewatering pumps, sludge removal pumps and Bulk Air Cooler for the underground mining.

F. GENERAL ACHIEVEMENTS

I initiated the in-house repair of 8 inch, high pressure valves as an energy saving initiative, saving the company eighty thousand pula per valve.

I planned, organized and coordinated the installation 3 km of 11 kV power supply. I gained vast experience in commissioning of new heavy plant machinery in compliance with

mines, quarries, machinery and works act. I am well experience in the rebuilding of heavy plant machines. I am very good in writing feasibility studies for new projects, improvement initiatives and

existing installations. I successfully completed the following feasibility studies; transportation buses for BCL

employees, purchase of new diesel electric locomotive, use of solar energy for water heating. I revived the hood door lifting mechanism for convertor plant at the BCL smelter. I re-engineered a drive pulley bearing for belt conveyor as a cost saving initiative. Proposing ways of stopping Corrosion caused by salt and soda ash at Botswana Ash mine (Final

Year Project for B. Eng. Mechanical)

G. EXTRA ACTIVITIES

I am the water management champion for Phikwe Central Shaft. I am the energy saving champion for Phikwe Central Shaft I am a member of the BOTSWANA INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERS. I am registered as a Graduate Engineer at Engineers Registration Board (ERB) I was an active member of the Mathematics and Science Team at Secondary School.
