MEC653 – HVAC Systems Design Project 30% of final grade. The goal of this design project is to gain HVAC design and analysis experience by working on real HVAC design problem that interests you. Since each group has a different project, there is no single project assignment. Below is a deliverables for each project assignment together with grading criteria. DELIVERABLES To ensure you are progressing well in the exercise the deliverables are divided into four phases. - Project statement (introduction) 2 pages Explain what are you designing/analyzing and justify the importance/reasons of the project. On the second page clearly identify project outcomes. Use bullets to list the project outcomes. Due: April 9 th 2015. - Building description (geometry) 1-3 pages Schematics that focus on your system(s). Identify all assumptions and simplifications you introduced. Due: April 30 th 2015 - Methodology 1-3 pages Describe methodology (equations, schematics, etc.). Provide a list of assumptions used in your methodology. Due: May 14 th 2015 - Results 3-5 pages Formatted results with comments Tables, Charts, Diagrams, etc Analysis and Results discussion - Summary 0.5-1 page Summary of most important results Due: June 4 th 2015

The goal of this design project is to gain HVAC design and analysis experience by working on real HVAC design problem that interests you. Since each group has a different project, there is no single project assignment. Below is a deliverables for each project assignment together with grading criteria. DELIVERABLESTo ensure you are progressing well in the exercise the deliverables are divided into four phases.- Project statement (introduction)2 pagesExplain what are you designing/analyzing and justify the importance/reasons of the project. On the second page clearly identify project outcomes. Use bullets to list the project outcomes.
