Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign August 2017 Andhra Pradesh
• Education and WCD departments state level orientations is crucial for smooth implementation of the campaign.
• Private School management associations (CBSE, ICSE, Private schools etc) should be oriented and taken in loop very early during micro-planning
• School MR communication Kit : Should be shared during state and district workshops- All prototype letters communications & brief on importance of campaign etc in one folder for one school
• Separate High Risk areas listing and focus will be required
• Supervision and monitoring by State and district officials needs strengthening during the sweep activity phase of the campaign , to ensure best coverage
Recommendation (1)
Communication & social mobilization
• All finalized IEC materials in Regional language should be ready by time of state workshop and prototypes should be given to districts
• State workshop should be followed by communication workshops at district level so that the HE cadre are specifically trained and involved in campaign
• IEC printing at state level ensures uniformity and quality but states should have enough time for tendering process
• State media briefing should be conducted one month before campaign so that media carry only positive messages
• State IEC campaign should start one month ahead of campaign in a limited way rather than waiting for all IEC before 10 days of campaign
Recommendation (2)
Thank you
