CAMPAIGN REPORT
On April 26, 2013 Department of Community Medicine at LMDC, Lahore went to its catchment area of Tulspura for the Measles campaign. The selected area for the public awareness campaign was Amal school. The staffs there and locality people were informed beforehand.
On arrival at the gate of Amal School, the staff of Community Medicine Department was warmly welcomed by the Principal and staff of the school. We were then escorted to the main hall where all the arrangements were done.
A student of the school did Talawat and another student recited the Hamad o sana. Meanwhile Mrs Aitzaz Ahsan along with her team also arrived and was introduced to us by the school staff.
A brief introductory Measles session was done on multimedia by Dr Humayun Mirza.A more explanatory with emphasis on the vaccination of Measles session was done by Dr Aslam Bajwa, who later replied to the questions of the locality people also.
The urdu literature on Measles was distributed to the locality people and the students. Brief talk was done by Mrs Aitzaz Ahsan. Closing remarks were given by the school Principal before the team left for the college at noon.
