Artists are advised to read the following conditions carefully.

The exhibiting artist must either be a financial member of the Launceston Art Society, a resident of the Meander Valley municipality, or a special guest artist. Entry is open to adults (over 16 years).

Contact: Launceston Art SocietyPhone 0419 304 [email protected]

Only one work may be submitted. All painting media will be accepted - oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, mixed media, as well as printmaking. Works may contain a number of different elements, and small amounts of photographic insertions in the painting are acceptable.

Work should be ready to be hung with ‘D’ shackles and wire attached. A stretched canvas is considered suitable provided that the edges are well finished.

No wet work, photographs, bark art or copies will be accepted.

Presentation of the work must be of a high standard. For example, scratched or dented frames, badly cut mats or framing that does not suit the work may result in work not being accepted.

Space limitations may not permit all works to be hung. If necessary, a selection committee will select the work they consider most suitable.

The selection committee’s decisions in regards to selection and hanging of artworks are final.

All works must be for sale. No commission will apply. Please price your work accordingly.

Work should be the original of the artist, and have been completed within the last twelve months and not have been previously exhibited. Paintings are to relate to the Meander Valley municipality and the theme.
