OCCUPIED/UNOCCUPIED MODES:Enable mutiple occupied and unoccupied mode capabilities. SIEMENS shall sendan occupancy mode signal (adjustable) to Phoenix. SIEMENS shall receive fromPhoenix the status of occupancy mode.
SIEMENS shall send signal (adjustable) for minimum occupied supply air flow setpoint to Phoenix system. SIEMENS shall send signal (adjustable) for minimumunoccupied supply air flow set point to Phoenix system.
ZONE AIR CHANGE PER HOUR RATE CONTROL:The Lab Zone Controller (LZC) receives the general exhaust CFM value from thegeneral exhaust air valve(s). The LZC total zone exhaust CFM is the zone generalexhaust CFM. Using a proportional, integral, and derivative (PID) closed loopcontrol algorithm, the LZC modulates the zone supply and general exhaust airvalves to ensure that the zone does not go below the minimum required zone airchanges per hour (ACH) rate (occupied and unoccupied).
ZONE PRESSURIZATION CONTROL:The total exhaust air volume and the total supply air volume for the zone ismonitored and controlled to maintain a negative or positive zone airflow offset setpoint (" refer to M-400 series") relative to the exhaust air flow. SIEMENS shallsend the ZONE AIRFLOW OFFSET CFM set point (adjustable) to Phoenix to use.SIEMENS shall receive from Phoenix the actual monitored zone airflow CFMoffset.
The LZC calculates the required ZONE SUPPLY AIR CFM necessary bysubtracting the zone airflow offset CFM set point from the total zone exhaustCFM. The LZC modulates the ZONE SUPPLY AIR CFM using the supply airvalve to ensure that the zone airflow offset CFM (flow tracking differential CFM) isalways maintained by a proportional, integral, and derivative (PID) closed loopcontrol algorithm.
ZONE TEMPERATURE CONTROL:The LZC measures the temperature in the zone by means of the ZONETEMPERATURE SENSOR and maintains the zone temperature at the set point byadjusting the supply airflow and modulating the NORMALLY CLOSED (N.C.)HEATING VALVE using a proportional, integral, and derivative (PID) closed loopcontrol algorithm.
If the ZONE SUPPLY AIR is at its minimum limit, the zone has general exhaust airvalve(s), and the zone requires increased cooling beyond the amount of ZONESUPPLY AIR CFM necessary to maintain the required ZONE AIRFLOW OFFSET, theLZC increases the ZONE SUPPLY AIR CFM as well as the ZONE GENERALEXHAUST CFM to maintain the zone temperature set point and the ZONE AIRFLOWOFFSET.
Occupied Mode-SIEMENS shall send zone temperature occupied cooling set point (adjustable) andzone temperature occupied heating set point (adjustable) to Phoenix system formaintaining zone temperature set point during occupied mode.
Unoccupied Mode-SIEMENS shall send zone temperature unoccupied cooling set point (adjustable) andzone temperature unoccupied heating set point (adjustable) to Phoenix system formaintaining zone temperature band during unoccupied mode.
CONTROL PRIORITY:A priority structure applies to the above control applications to ensure that safety ismaintained as the highest control priority when HVAC systems or individualcomponents cannot meet all demands placed upon the system.
