5. Trouble Shooting

5.1 Inspection after Installation and Trouble Shooting

When there is a malfunction of the product, a cause of the malfunction should be checked in order to resolve the issue. In general, the comparison of the normal operation and abnormal operation helps reveal a cause of the malfunction. The following is a possible scenario for malfunctions of MD2000-16H and solutions for the malfunctions.

1) Power Confirmation The following shows potential issues of a power supply device and their solutions. (1)Is a power LED still turned off even when the power is connected? Inspection 1 Check a power cord. Inspection 2 Check whether power is properly supplied to the outlet. (2) Does the system get turned off right after turning on the system? Inspection 1 Check whether there is any short circuit. Inspection 2 Check whether an outlet has an electrical short or current is unstable. Inspection 3 If there is no short circuit, it may be caused by malfunction of the internal

power supply device of the MD2000-16H Inspection 4 Check whether the vent and a power port of MD2000-16H are clean.

2) System Checklist Product malfunctions could be caused by the cable, cable connection or exterior devices. Check the following to reveal causes of malfunctions. (1)Does the system fail to recognize the input/output interface? Inspection 1 Inspect the interface cable and cable connection. (2) Doesn’t the system operate properly? Inspection 1 Please contact ACETEL Co., Ltd .

5.2 Trouble Shooting for Operation Malfunctions

1) Hardware The following shows the hardware malfunctions and their solutions. (1) Video Display Malfunction If the input image does not get superimposed onto the output display when it is connected to the input physically Inspection 1 Check whether a connected cable is proper Inspection 2 Check whether the input is proper. Check by connecting it to a different

device. Inspection 3 When the input is revealed to be normal, please contact ACETEL. (2) When the audio bar does not move If the input audio bar is rather stopped or does not show on the output display when it is connected to the input physically Inspection 1 Check whether a connected cable is proper. Inspection 2 Refer to “4.1.1 DISPAY SETUP” to check whether audio source has been

set as “1ST_OFF”. Inspection 3 Check whether input pressure is normal: Check by connecting it to a

different device. Inspection 4 When the input is revealed to be normal, please contact ACETEL. (3) When there is an error on the output display. If DVI-I or VGA output is connected to a monitor but fail to get superimposed onto the output display Inspection 1 Check whether the connected cable is normal. Inspection 2 Check whether output resolutions of the monitor and MD2016A are the

same. After checking the resolution, change it to the resolution proper for a monitor. [Refer to “4.1.5 OUTPUT RESOLUTION” ]

Inspection 3 If it still does not output properly even after changing of the resolution, please contact ACETEL.

2) Software The following shows the software malfunctions and their solutions. (1) When the alarm incurrence time does not match with the current time Inspection 1 Check the time which has been set from “CURRENT TIME SETUP”

MD2000-16H. When the time which has been set is different from the current time, reset the time. If there is the NTP server, setup of the time synchronization with the NTP server. [Refer to “4.1.6 NTP SETUP”]

(2) Frequent incurrence of Audio Loss Alarm Inspection 1 The default value is “20 seconds” if the MD2000-16H is used alone.

To change the Audio Loss Alarm Interval, use NMS (3) Frequent incurrence of Video Freeze Alarm Inspection 1 The default value is “60 seconds” if the MD2016A is used alone.
