BIRTHDAYS

Threeofourchildrencelebratedtheirbirthdaysincolorfulstyleswithlotsofsurprisesandgifts.

AntoinetteMarfocelebratedher9thbirthdayonthe1

stofthismonth.Antoinette,whoreceivedan

awardastheoverallbeststudentinherclassatthejustendedspeechandprizegivingdaywas

excitedasshejoinedhersiblingstocelebrateherbirthday.Theentirehouseprayedforherand

askedtheLordtostrengthenandempowerhertobesuccessful.Shepromisedeveryonetostudy

hard,keepupthegoodworkandwinmoreawardsin

inschool.Afterwardsshedisplayedsomeofhergreat

dancingskillswithhersiblingsasweallcelebrated.

AfewdaysaftercelebratingAntoinettesbirthday

wasPaaSammysturn.PaaSammycelebratedhis

22ndbirthdayonthe8

thofthismonth.

PaaSammyisaveryinterestingandambitiousguy.

Hejoinedthehousenottoolongagobuthisstayin

thehousehasalreadyreallytransformedhimforthe

better.Heisverytalentedwithcraftandartworks.

Heisnowenrolledinavocationalschooland

traininginfashiondesignandartworks.

Theyoungandupcomingdesignerreceivedasurprisebirthdayparty.Thewholehouseprayedwith

himandwishedhimallthebestinhiscareer.PaaSammydisplayedsomeAzontodancemoves

withhissiblingsinthehouse.Hewaspresentedwitha

birthdaycakewithlotsofgifts.

girlandgetmoreawards.

FELLOWSHIPWITHASSEMBLIESOFGODCHURCH

Onthe26thofthismonth,theyouthdepartmentoftheAssembliesofGodChurch,Ashiaman

Ghanabranch,visitedthehousetosharesomegiftswiththechildren.Thegrouphasbeenverysupportivethroughouttheyear.Theyvisit

frequentlytosharethewordofGodwiththe

children.

Thistimetheirvisitwasveryspecialastheycameto

presentitemstothechildrenforChristmas.They

sangChristmascarolsandworshippedGodthe

children.Theleadershipofthedelegation

emphasizedthattheismotivatedbythegood

workAuntieAdowaisdoingandpromisedtheir

totalsupportforher.Theyprayedforthe

childrenandencouragedthemtostudyhard.

2012CHRISTMASPARTY

TheJourneyofFaithMissionsincollaborationwithMarfoChildrenCareFoundation,GreenLane

Nursery(UK)andRoyalKidzCourtorganizedanendofChristmaspartyfororphanagesacrossthe

TemaMetropolisonthe26thofDecember.ThechildrenofMarfoChildrenCareFoundation(Tema,

Ghana),ShakannahHome(Remma,Ghana),NewLifeOrphanage(Nungua,Ghana),Heartsofthe

Father(Prampram,Ghana)andRoyalKidzCourt

wereinvitedtotheparty.

PastorMosesoftheMarfoFamilyblessedthe

gatheringandspokeabouttheessenceof

ChristmasandwhatGoddidformankind

throughJesus.Hesaid,Christmasisaseasonof

sharingloveandgiftswitheveryonerichor

poor,sickorhealthy,oldoryoung.He

applaudedthechurchandalldonorsforsucha

wonderfulidea;afterwards,AuntieAdowaof

MarfofamilygaveherChristmasmessageto

thechildren.

ThedelegationfromtheAssembliesofGod

Sheencouragedthechildrentotaketheir

educationveryseriousbecausethatistheonly

waytheycanbecomegreatmenandwomenin

future.ShealsoemphasizedthatwithGodon

theirsidenothingisimpossible.

Thechildrenwereservedwithdeliciousfood

anddrinks.Therewerelotsofactivitieswhich

eveninvolvedtheadults.Theguysplayed

footballandtheladiesplayedampe.The

winnersofbothsideswerepresentedwith

awards.Storybooksandeducationalmaterials

weredistributedtothevarioushomestoassist

thechildrenintheirstudies.Thechildrenreally

hadfunandweresatisfiedtothefullest.

WEDDINGS

Onthe28thofthismonth,theMarfofamilyreceivedaninvitationtoattendtheweddingceremony

ofMaameEkuaSimbaAppiahattheTrinityUnitedChurchLegon,Accra.Itwasahappymoment

forthefamily.MaameSimbabeenanavidsupportofMCCFsinceitsinception.Shehascontinuesto

contributehertime,resourcesandlovetoMCCF.Shealwayscomestointeractandplaywiththe

children.Thechildrendressedintheirgorgeousoutfitstogracetheoccasion.Theyhadanicetimeattheweddingandmadenewfriends.

ATRIPTOSAJUNABEACHINAKOSOMBO

Onthe30thofDecember,thefamilytravelledto

AkosombointheEasternRegionofGhana.Onour

arrivalwefirstvisitedgrandmas(Adwoasmom)

house.Adowatookthechildrenaroundthehousetoshowthemwhereshegrewup.Insidetheroomswere

somepicturesofgrandmainheryouthfulage.We

alsosawapictureofAuntieAdowawithherparents

andsiblings.Itwasreallyexcitingtoseeourmotherin

heryouthfulage.Also,wesawchildhoodpicturesof

UnclePapa,UncleKwameandAuntieMaameSerwaa

(Adwoas3children).Itwassowonderful.

AftergrandmashousewetouredAkosombo.Adwoa

showedusvariousplacesliketheAkosombo

governmenthospital,Akosombodam,PostOfficeand

theAkosombomarket.WeeventuallyarrivedatVolta

Hotel.Wetooksomepicturesaroundthehoteland

laterwentinsidetohaveanicetime.Weeventually

lefttoSajunaandhadagreattime.Thechildren

swam,dancedandplayedgames.Everyonewas

exhaustedafterwardbutweallhadagreattime.

NEWYEARSEVEWATCH-NIGHTSERVICE

TheMarfofamilyheldanewyearsevenwatchnightserviceinthehouse.Thechildrenwerevery

happytocrossoverintoanotherfruitfulyear.ThechildrensangsongstopraiseandworshipGodfor

seeingthemthroughasuccessful2012.Mr.AmponsahblessedthechildrenintotheNewYear.

Heencouragedthemtobegoodandobedientchildren.AuntieAdowaalsopromisedtolovethemmoreanddowhateverittakesforthemtohaveabrightfuture.

CHRISTMASANDNEWYEARMESSAGETOALLOURDONORSANDLOVEONES

TheMarfofamilyisverygratefultoGodforhowfarHehasbroughtus.Wecannotendtheyear

withoutexpressingourprofoundgratitudetoallwhocommittedtheirresources,timeandmoneyto

bringthehometowhereitustoday.

WesayGodblessyouall.MayHefillyourcuptillitrunsover.Onbehalfofthechildren,wewishyou

allaMerryChristmasandprosperousNewYear.Webelievetheyear2013willcomewithgreatsurprisessincewebelieveitisouryearofEstablishment,FulfillmentandAbundantGrace.
