WHO IS KUNAL?From the ages of 14-17, Presto produced more quality tracks than most do in a lifetime. While his peers spent their time playing basketball and watching tv, pres was locked away in his room with his headphones, his walkman and his microphone honing his skills and spilling his thoughts onto paper. Left alone with only his thoughts to guide him, Presto gained an insight into himself well beyond many his age.
Through music, he has chronicled his life through its many stages, from being a carefree innocent kid to a confused teenage addict. As a result, his music runs the gamma from introspective and dark to light hearted and fun. Inspired just as much by syd barrett and the doors as he is by lord finesse and atmosphere, presto's music crosses genres while maintaining a blend of genuineness and innocence hard to find in today's music industry.
As a college student, Presto has spent the last few years paying his dues, playing shows on a consistent basis and gaining clout at his college as a battle emcee. He has shared venues with acts such as Wale, Jason Derulo, Digable Planets, Nickelus F (Nick Fury), Vanilla Ice, Astronautalis, Jimie's Chicken Shack and Scratch from the Roots and collaborated with artists such as K. Sparks, DJ I-Dee, DZK, Chris Young and the Nox. Now at age 22,with almost a thousand unreleased tracks and 13 unreleased albums under his belt, he is finally ready to step out of the shadows and share his thoughts with the world.
