Bringing Colour and Sound to Your Life
Interview with..
.
Ringo Starr
Drummer of The B
eatles
Ringo over
the years
So, how are you Ringo? Good, yourself?
Good thank you. What was your very first single? The first Beatles single was ‘Love Me Do’ with ‘P.S I Love You’ in October 1962. Both songs we’re written by our band members John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
Why did they write that song? Well Paul wrote it about his former girlfriend.
So who was the youngest band member? George was. I remember the first time we met him. He pulled the most ridiculous prank! We were asleep in our caravan and he crept in then drew all over our faces.
Today I catch up with the Drummer from The Beatles…
How’s life without the band? Life’s good and all, but I still miss the band at times. Most funny memories are when George pranked us then how we got him back.
Do you still catch up with Paul? Yeah, every now and then. But because of our schedules we only ever have a quick drink.
How long have you known each other? For years, I just can’t count them!
Some of your bands songs have recently been used
by various artists. What is your opinion in this? I don’t mind them using our songs because it brings us back into the charts! It also gives us a new vibe. So as they say: “Sharing is caring.”
That ends our interview with Ringo Starr, but we would love to
hear from you! If you have any questions for him send them in

EMINEM
The TRUE story behind Eminem...
True Facts:True Facts:True Facts:True Facts:
-His actual name is Marshall Mathers. -He has a total of 7 No.1 singles in Australia, so far. -He has a Daughter. -He has had a biography made about him and his life. -From a kid his mentor was Dr. Dre.
Abandoned by his farther at 18 months, Marshall Mathers, bet-
ter known as Eminem or Slim Shady is now a success in the mu-
sic industry.
Eminem, raised by his mother moved from city to city and fi-
nally settled in Seattle. By 14 he was rapping on the street
like his mentor did Dr.Dre. Being an amateur rapper he got
into brawls and competitions. Finally he was assigned a rec-
ord deal.
Every rapper wants a wife is how I would put it. So Eminem
married his high school love Kimberley Anne Scott twice. They
had only one child who’s named Hailey Mathers and currently
is between the custody of both parents. Hailey has also been
featured in some of her father’s songs, ‘Bonnie and Clyde’,
‘Dad’s Gone Mad’ and many more.
Eminem also has a movie of his Life called ‘8 Mile’ (Although
I suggest you watch it when you are an adult)
So apart from a movie Mathers also has many hit singles such
as:
-We Made You
-Not Afraid
-Love the Way You Lie
-Stan
-The Real Slim Shady
He had a total of 7 number 1 hit singles in Australia over a
decade.
So even though he has lost his love and father, that’s also
what made him the artist he is today.

With....... The Go-Betweens
An Aussie band
formed in Bris-
bane named The
Go-Betweens,
started as a two
man show. Robert
Forster and Grant
McLennan both on
vocals and guitar,
but with McLen-
nan playing har-
monica and bass
guitar, met Lindy
Morrison
(Drummer of the
band) and later on
met Amanda
Brown and John
Wisteed. (Not in
that order)
They went
through many
members. With
Amanda only play-
ing from 1986-89,
Lindy from 1980-
89, John from
1987-89, Robert
from 1977-89 and
2000-06 and last-
ly Grant from
1977-89 and 2000
-06. so even
though there have
been many these
were the main
five!
They first start-
ed in 1977 all the
way through to
1989. the band
again reformed
in 2000 but on
May 6 2006
McLennan had
died of a heart
attack. After
that the band
had broken up
for the last time.
The very last al-
bum they made
was Oceans
Apart in 2005.
So they may just
be another band
but they’re an
Aussie band to
be proud of!
