What is Bnos Tzion?
The women of Bnos Tzion meet every Sunday at 8pm at Adas
Yeshurun for Torah learning, socializing, and sushi (or
occasionally pizza or nachos). The women of Bnos Tzion are
all committed to learning and growing, and create a warm,
welcoming environment. Bnos Tzion is grateful to the sponsors
who help support our programs including the Women’s
Learning Division of Yeshurun in memory of Erkia Neter Mayer
a”h.
Who attends Bnos Tzion?
The audience of our Bnos Tzion events are young women,
generally between the ages of 20 and 35, from throughout the
Chicagoland frum community. These young women vary in
background and somewhat in hashkafa (Ida Crown, Hanna
Sacks, and Bais Yaakov high schools are all represented in
the young women, in addition to a number of baalei teshuva
from the greater Chicago area). Many of the young women
are currently in a college environment or have recently joined
the workplace in both frum and secular environments.
The goal of this panel
The idea for the panel started as a number of young women
noted that they had come across a number of different
challenges about being frum while in the workplace that they
were never really prepared for. The goal of the panel is to
provide young women with positive role models of frum women
who successfully balance a frum lifestyle with the challenges
and demands of working with the general public, and as an
opportunity to provide encouragement and ask questions
about challenges they've come across.
Who will be on the panel?
The panel will be moderated by Nili Krausz, PhD candidate Northwestern University and facilitator of Bnos Tzion.
The following women have agreed to serve on our panel.
Bluma Broner, BA Managing Director at CIBC, The PrivateBank, The Private Bank and Trust Company
Kate Kramer, MSW Human Resources Manager at Allstate Portable
Talia Mashiach, BBA CEO, Founder & Product Architect, Eved
Ayala Teitcher, RA Architect, FitzGerald Associates
Natasha Vladimirskiy, MD Physician of Geriatric Medicine at Oak Street Health
Mindi Zissman, BA President of Zissman Media, Inc.
