• Rotate the crankshaft clockwise until the TDC of the pistonN°1.

• Alignthetimingmarksofthecamshaft(Fig.1)• Mountthelockingpinofthecrankshaft.• Rotate the crankshaft until the and lock it.• Mountthedockingtoolofthecamshaft(EN-48245).• Align the timing marks of the injection pump.• Mountthepinionofthecamshaft.• Mountthenewidler.• Mountthenewtensioner,screwingtherelativeboltby

hand..• Assemblo the new timing belt.

• Rotate the tensioner until the pointer is positionated like Fig.2.

• Locktheboltofthetensioner(25Nm.)• Lockthepinionofthecamshaft(133Nm.)• Remove the locking tool of the camshaft.• Remove the docking pin of the crankshaft.• Rotate the crankshaft 2 revolutions• Verifythetimingmarks.• Repeat the procedure if the marks are outside from the

previewed zone.• Re-install other removed parts.• Mountthecrankshaftpullet(34Nm.)

The lubrificant pressure lack cause the rise up of engine temperature, in very short time it arrives to the metal fusion level (alluminium, cast-iron). The first rule to avoid this problem is respect the appointments for the mechanic review during the programmed servicing and use a high quality oil filter.

Unbuonfiltrotrattieneleimpuritàelepiccoleparti metalliche che il motore produce durante lasuavita.Quandoilfiltrononaccettapiùaltreimpuritàdevecomunquegarantirelalubrifi-cazione con una speciale valvola che gestisce l’alta pressione dovuta alla carta intasata di impurità.Quandoilfiltrononhalavalvolasi-gnificacheilmotorehaquestodispositivonellapompa dell’olio.

A good filter retains the impurities and the small pieces of metal that the engine produce during his lifetime. When the filter no longer accepts other impurities must still ensure the continuous lubrication with a special valve that organise the high pressure due to the paper too much full of impurities. When the filter doesn't have the valve means that the engine have this device in the oil pump.

A recent technical test shows that the Japanparts, Ashika and Japko oil filters can resist till 12 bar of pressure without damages or explosion of metal external structure.

The oil filter external examination can be useful in order to determinate the engine breaka-ge causes. The diagram in the picture shows the damages due high pressure suffered by oil filter.

In the first phase the high pressure cause the crack of external paintin the second phase the metal structure begins to modify the form of filter.in the third phase the pressure causes the disjunction between the base and fuel filter structure.
