CENTER HAPPENINGS
DR. SEUSS AND MISTER ROGERS CELEBRATIONS
The month of March was a celebration of children through two very influential child advocates, Dr. Seuss
and Fred Rogers. These are pictures of the artwork and activities that took place to remember the great
works of these childhood favorites. From puppet making to designing their own musical instruments, even
using their very own culinary techniques in decorating cupcakes, and learning how to be “neighborly”, the
children’s activities were a new adventure each day.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Week of the Young Child will take place starting on April 16th. This year, due to Earth Day falling in the
same week, the theme will be “Save the Earth,” and we have some fun activities planned!
April 16 Music Monday and Mismatch Day
April 17 Tasty Tuesday; Make a delicious Earth-friendly snack (dirt dessert)
April 18 Work Together Wednesday; Learn about recycling (activity)
April 19 Artsy Thursday; Make an Earth Collage
April 20 Family Friday and Pajama Day *(See note below)
*Parents of Penguins through Elephants may sign up to read a book to their child’s class about
taking care of our earth. Please see the sign-up sheet in main hallway, 3 parents per
classroom. First come, first served. Pajama Day is for ALL children in the Center.
