For our colleagues based in India - in Mumbai, Chennai, and Chandigarh - it has been a particularly difficult time as the country has been hard hit by the pandemic.

We are proud to have been supporting local communities in the region, including our donations of 50 Oxygen Concentrators and 1,000 Ration Kits which were delivered recently to the State of Maharashtra, home to our main Indian studio in Mumbai.

FMX – Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Immersive Media had an all-star DNEG turnout this month, with a mix of presentations and panels representing every corner of our work!

SPOTLIGHT ON DNEG

Our Global Chief Technology Officer Paul Salvini spoke on a panel about technology and content creation in a post-

pandemic world.

Head of Motion Graphics Barry Corcoran took audiences on a deep dive into DNEG’s recent MGFX work on ‘Altered Carbon

Season 2’ and ‘Hobbs & Shaw’.

Academy Award-winning VFX Supervisor Andrew Jackson gave detailed insight into the harmonious coupling of visual effects and special effects in

‘TENET’.

Executive-in-Charge, Corporate Strategy, Philipp Wolf spoke about post-pandemic industry initiatives and the global work of the Visual Effects Society (VES).

Creative Director and Academy Award-winning VFX Supervisor Paul Franklin adventured through virtual production and his upcoming film, ‘Fireworks’.

Senior Talent Acquisition Partner Jim Brown gave a crash course on all things DNEG.

This month was all about long-form storytelling.

Our VFX work appeared in Academy Award-winning director Barry Jenkins’ Amazon Prime series ‘The Underground Railroad’, a 10-part adaptation of Colson Whitehead’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. We also helped bring to life Netflix’s multi-generational superhero series, ‘Jupiter’s Legacy’.

Soho is getting spooky this October... director Edgar Wright’s new horror film, ‘Last Night in Soho’ offers creepy 60s vibes in this brand new teaser trailer. We were so excited to see our VFX work come to life in this seventh collaboration with one of our favourite directors.

Director Antoine Fuqua’s latest film trailer for ‘Infinite’ asks us: If you could remember your past lives, what would you do? The countdown is officially on for its June 10th release on Paramount+ and we can’t wait for the rest of the world to see our team’s jaw-dropping work on this film!
