Governors Message

Hello everyone!

I am so glad to have your support for another year! Thank you to everyone

who came out to vote for me and the new Board of Officers. I am looking forward to working with the new Board as well as the new Women`s Board.

Last year was a great year, and this one will be even better! Our new Board

of Officers have a lot of new ideas, as well as new activities for the whole family. I promise to work very hard for you to insure that we have a

wonderful year.

Please remember that the Lodge is operated by many volunteers that also

work very hard. Don't be afraid to tell them thanks for a job well done.

Our Lodge has earned the Five Star Award! We should all be very proud!

Part of that award is the endowment. Thank you for the contributions, which

help support Mooseheart and Moosehaven.

PHILLIP L. MILLER

Bad Day in the Kitchen

In 2012 we had the compressor unit go out on the Walk in refrigeration Unit, guess

what: on April 21 bartender Elizabeth comes out on the deck and announces that

the walk in seems warm - you guessed it. The compressor had gone out again.

Luckily Steve Narducci was there and came to the rescue. The old unit only had a 1

year warranty. Steve diagnosed the problem, was in Modesto the very

next morning and installed a new compressor unit with a 5 year warranty that very

day. The unit cost just under $1800 and Steve donated his time. The LOOM paid

for the unit from the proceeds of the Mother Lode Game. Thank you members for

supporting the lodge with your continued play of the Mother Lode Game and Thank

A Tribute to Phillip L. Miller

It’s been a long time since Phillip L. Miller has not held a position on the

Board of Officers. The Board would like to recognize an individual who

has devoted much of his life to this Lodge, CA/NV and Moose

International. Phillip L. Miller has filled just about every position on the

Board and Moose Legion with the commitment for the betterment of our

lodge. He has brought so many new members into this lodge. The

Board of Officers would like to thank Phillip for his untold years of

service and support to the Moose Organization.

The Supreme Governor

Terry Wall will be at the

Modesto Lodge on Friday

May 20th.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU MEMBERS

With your Generosity we have funded the Windows replacement project.

Danny Ortega and Ted Bruce are working to fit the project in to their schedule and put

the project behind us. It looks great, quieter and warmer/cooler with less expense.

Thank You Larry Ainsley for spearheading the funding

Now on to something else.

The deadline for filing for a Moose International Grant is the end of June. Two projects

seem to be under serious consideration 1.Painting the Lodge, a good looking structure will

catch the eye of potential members, and 2. deck replacement, a safety issue.

A small crew of members is currently working on painting a portion of the building which

is in need of immediate attention. But they cannot do it alone and could use some help.

We
