Greetings First Winnfield,

Who is God? How can I know God? What does God want from me? How does God relate to me? People today want to know the answers to these questions. I have known God since I was a student at Lavaca Junior High. While I have known God for a long time, my knowledge of God is still growing. The primary way that I have come to know God has been through the Bible. As I have said numerous times recently, “The Bible is a supernatural book, about a supernatural God, who does supernatural things.” When I read the Bible I can come to know God in a much more intimate or personal way. Theology is merely a study of God. For a Christian, it becomes a way to know and relate to God. Theology is not for the Bible College student or the Pastor or Seminary Professor. Theology is for everyone because everyone needs to know God. Wednesday evenings at 6:00, I am teaching Systematic Theology in the Fireside Room. As we work through the content of this Study together, my hope is that you will grow in your knowledge of God and your confidence in Him.

Your attendance has blown me away the past two Sundays. Sunday evenings we are studying spiritual gifts. Every believer has at least one spiritual gift and when the gifting of believers work together in the church, everyone wins. If you do not know your spiritual gift or are looking for a way to put it to work at FBC Winnfield, do not miss this coming Sunday night.

I am praying Ephesians 3:19 for you and our church this week. I am praying that you may, “know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” I love you.

Keep Moving Forward,

Pastor Steven

I want to thank you for your outstanding giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions in 2015. I am truly grateful for your leadership and your support for missions in North America.

Because of your giving we will be able to plant more churches in under reached and under served areas. We will also be able to discover, develop the next generation of missionaries who will lead Southern Baptists in the decades to come.

You are making a difference. Thank you for leading your church to be so focused on missions and reaching people around the world. Please pass along my gratitude and appreciation to your congregation.

I am grateful for your partnership.

Serving Together,

Kevin Ezell President North American Mission Board
