Wildcat Showdown General Rules• This show is open to the world. Exhibitors must be 4-H/FFA members who are not yet 19 as of January

1, 2019. • All animals must be owned and entered under the name of the exhibitor. Exhibitors must show their

own animal unless they have more than one animal per class. No limit to number of entries per exhibitor.

• All animals must be shorn before arriving. Absolutely no clipping/shearing on premises. Fitting areas must be cleaned prior to leaving campus.

• Due to very limited pen space, showing out of the trailer is strongly encouraged.• Electricity is limited and no blower/clippers usage allowed near arena during show.• Exhibitors must clean their area before leaving campus. • All out-of-state animals must have appropriate State of Kansas Health forms. All sheep and goats are

required to have a scrapie tag. • All animals are subject to be inspected for existing signs of club lamb fungus, sore-mouth, ringworm,

and general health before entering the scale area. Any animal determined to be infectious will not be allowed to show. Show committee shall have the authority to disqualify other animals that have been in contact with an infected animal.

• Classes will be divided by breed and/or weight as determined by show management. • No entries will be accepted after the completion of weighing. • Thisisaprospectshowonly(animalsnotfinished)andwillbejudgedaccordingly.• Persons showing unnecessary rough handling will be asked to leave the show and forfeit any entry

money and prizes. All four feet of the lamb or goat must be on the ground while shown.• Cash payout in all classes! • Animals shown in the showmanship contest must be exhibited by that exhibitor in the regular show. • Thedecisionofthejudgeisfinal.Protestsforanyreasonsmustbesubmittedinwritingand

accompanied by a $100 fee. • All entries are accepted with the understanding that Kansas State University and Wildcat Showdown

staff are not responsible for any loss or damage that may arise. • 4-H/FFA members are subject to the code of conduct agreements of their respective organizations.

Smoking and alcohol are prohibited on the campus. • Anyonewithinsufficientfundscheckwillnotbeallowedtoshowuntilthedebthasbeenpaid.• Entry fees are non-refundable. No pay, no weigh. • Any rules or announcements made at the show will supercede these rules. Decision of show managementisfinal.

must be sheared before arriving. • Wethers or does may be shown. • Goats must have baby teeth in place with no visible signs of permanent teeth. • All four feet must be on the ground while shown.

Judging of Breeding Does • Breeding does may be shown slick or in hair.• Goats must have baby teeth in place with no visible signs of permanent teeth. • All four feet must be on the ground while shown. • Classes will be divided by weight with no separate breed classes.

Judging of Prospect Market Lambs • Lambs must be slick shorn with an equal amount of wool above the knee and hock. All animals must

be sheared before arriving. • Wethers or ewes may be shown. • Classeswillbedividedbythefollowingbreedclassifications:

o Black Face, White Face, White Face Cross • Sheep must have baby teeth in place with no visible signs of permanent teeth. • All four feet must be on the ground while shown.

o Senior: 14-18 o Junior: 7-9

Entry Fees• Pre-entries postmarked on or before April 26: $20/head• Late entries (postmarked after April 26 or received day of show): $30/head• Checks payable to: Wildcat Showdown• Pre-entries postmarked on or before Friday, April 26th. Mail entry form and check to:
