    THOUGHTS FROM BRAD

On Wednesday, May 14th, at 6:15pm, I plan tobegin a new adult Bible elective entitled, Acts ofGod. I look forward to this study because it willaddress the question that everyone needsanswered at some point in their life. It is the

question: If God is so good, why does He allow somuch pain in the world? This group will meet forsix weeks in the fellowship hall. The curriculumuses a well-produced, cinematic approach as itexamines the Biblical account of Joseph. Im sureyou will enjoy it! One thing is for certain! As welook at Josephs life, we will see that even in theface of personal pain, we can trust in the Lord atall times.

On May 10th, we will have volunteers at a localrace passing out water bottles with a church labelon them. Please pray first, that all the participantsrunning the race can finish without any injury.Secondly, pray for those volunteering, that Godwill give them opportunity to make connectionswith those who need a church home. This is justanother example of how we are intentionally

reaching out to our community for the sake ofChrist. No matter what, may God be praisedbecause of His people are being faithful.

We desire to recognize our upcoming graduates atour June 1st worship service. It has been ourpractice to only recognize those who inform us thatthey will be here that day and who do not mindbeing recognized. So please inform our office no

later than May 18thif you want to be recognized onJune 1st. Please allow us to celebrate with you.Thank you!

Final thought: The Gospel message of Jesuswas not just an offer of forgiveness; it was Hiscall to enlist (Richard Stearns).

    In His Service,

    Brad Seevers

The next book for the Book Nook is Danger in

the Shadows by Dee Henderson. Sara is

haunted by a nameless, faceless man who

abducted her 25 years ago and continues to

threaten her life. Now she lives in a high-

security world that keeps her safe, but leaves

her lonely. She knows that falling in love with

a famous man like Adam is a bad idea, but

Adam wont give up and she doesntreally want

him to. Over the years she has learned to find

faith and security in God. Then Sara and

Adam are caught in a chain of events that

brings Sara face-to-face with her past. Will

she be able to keep her faith in God as she

    seeks closure?

How Can I Respond Today? At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all

issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear

concerning what a person must do to become a

    Christian.

Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation. Turn (repent) from the sin in your life. Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord

    of your life.

Be baptized (immersed) in water for theforgiveness of sins and to receive the HolySpirit into your life.

To make this li fe decision for Chri st, we ask that you

come forward during our commitment song at the

conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers

are welcome to become membersat FACC by coming

forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior

Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you

complete a series of Curious classes to help you

better understand what you are committing to as a

member. If you would like to take a Curiousclass,

please indicate this on your Silent Roll Call Card.
