North Central 4-H Camp is located

in Carlisle, KY near Lake Carnico. The camp offers air-conditioned and heated cabins and dining hall; open-air shelter house; country store for souvenirs and snacks; and swimming pool with waterslide. Program facilities include rifle and archery ranges, bird blind for nature classes, low and high ropes challenge course, basketball, volleyball and athletic field. The six-acre 4-H Lake holds the fa-mous "North Central AquaPark", a 130 foot floating obstacle course and offers op-portunities for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking. WHERE: North Central 4-H Camp. We will leave from the Carter Extension Office on Tuesday morning and return on Friday afternoon.

WHO: Any Carter County child between the ages of 9 and 14 can attend 4-H camp.

COST: $155 *** Save $10 when you pay and turn in all regis-tration forms by April 17th.***

4-H camp scholarships are awarded based on 4-H participa-tion and civic engagement. To apply for the scholarship, com-plete the 4-H Camp Scholarship application.

ALL applications require a $30.00 deposit. Deadline for all offi-cial registration packets will be May 1st. (After you re-turn this application a more detailed camp registration pack-et will be sent to you.) Spots are limited and will be filled on a first come basis. No deposits will be returned for cancel-lations after May 8th. Campers who’s paper work is not turned in by May 1st, may not be permitted to attend camp.

OTHER THINGS YOU NEET TO KNOW ABOUT 4-H CAMP

Details of what to bring, camp rules, and all the forms to be filled out will be mailed to everyone who

registers. The contents of the registration packet must be returned by May 1st. Late camp application

may not be accepted.

The $30 camp deposit will hold your spot until May 1st. After May 1st, if all fees and registration forms

have not been returned your spot will be given to the next person on the list.

Carter County will be camping with Greenup, Boyd and Bath Counties this year.

All Kentucky 4-H camp locations are American Camp Association Accredited.

Adult volunteers are needed to help with 4-H camp. If you would be willing to attend 4-H camp please

contact the Carter County Extension Office. All volunteers must be screened through UK Client Protection

standards, which includes an interview, background check, and reference checks.

High school 4-H members who are interested in attending 4-H Summer Camp as counselors should con-

tact the Extension Office for an application.
