Firefighter Bob Haggerty Presented With The VFW Loyalty Day Award

Nomination Letter written by Chief Buxton. It is with great pride and honor that I write to you today to nominate Firefighter Robert Haggerty for this years Loyalty Day Award. Robert has been a member of the Hudson Fire Department since 2002.

As your introduction letter to the Loyalty Day Awards Program states, this occasion is to honor people who through their dedication and service have contributed to the well-being of the community. As a Call Firefighter for the Hudson Fire Department, Robert has consistently shown his dedication to the community. No task has ever been too large or too small for him, and his goal has always have been to help the people of Hudson in the most professional, loyal way possible. My nomination today does not include any one particular act of heroism as we hear about the risks firefighters take, but it is about what I refer as silent heroes. There are everyday people who are loyal and strive to serve their community to protect the citizens. It is about people who dedicate themselves to a career of helping others. Robert currently resides in Hudson, NH and is married to his wife Linda, and is the proud father of three daughters, Lisa, Mary and Katelyn. I hope this letter provides enough of a snapshot of an individual who has dedicated 13 years of service to the town of Hudson and its citizens. I ask for your consideration in awarding the 2015 Loyalty Day Award to Firefighter Robert Haggerty.
