Staff Recommendation: Phase I: Workshop to Finalize
‘Ready to go’ HLIs Timeframe:
– June 2009 / July 2009. Participants:
– Council members, entities that commented on HLIs, other interested parties.
To do: – Finalize HLIs for 6 implementation and 4 biological performance
measures (tables 1 & 2): Management questions, performance measures, indicator
name, metrics, data source, data availability/quality. Goal:
– Present for adoption during July/August Council meeting.– If possible, include these HLIs in 2010 Congressional Report.
Staff Recommendation:Phase II: Workshops for Refinement & Coordination of Other Indicators
Timeframe:– End of summer 2009 to end of spring 2010.
Participants: – Council members, entities that commented on HLIs, other
parties. To do:
– Assess priority & feasibility for remaining 9 proposed HLI topics.– For selected HLIs, develop & refine management questions,
performance measures, indicator names, metrics, and data availability.
Goal:– Dec 2009 complete fish abundance & watershed condition HLIs.– Complete other priority/selected HLIs by May 2010.– Include these HLIs in 2011 Congressional Report.
