Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

Our Easter Gift: "Remain in Me, as I remain in you"

- John 15:4

“Of all devotions, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the greatest after the

Sacraments, the one dearest to God and the one most helpful to us”. The Eucharist is a priceless treasure: By not only celebrating the Eucharist, but also by praying before It outside of Mass, we are enabled to make contact with the very wellsprings of Grace ..." St. Alphonsus Liguori Jesus waits for us in the Blessed Sacrament.

He waits for our l it t le Acts of faith, adoration, love, thanksgiving, repentance, reparation

and charity that we can offer Him as we contemplate -- His Divine Majesty

-- in the Blessed Sacrament.

“As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love.” John 15:9

Children’s Liturgy

The Children’s Liturgy will close after this weekend

Sunday, May 19th for summer break and

classes will resume in the fall.

Scam Warning Recently, several parishioners have reported receiving text messages and emails from scammers pretending to be Fr. George, requesting help obtaining iTunes gift cards and Google cards. The first email or text is a request for a “quick favor” and asks the recipient to email or text back as quickly as possible. If the recipient replies, “Fr. George” responds that he is very busy and needs help getting iTunes gift cards or Google cards for a cancer patient (or for another charity or cause.)

First and foremost, please know that neither Fr. George, Fr. Daniel nor anyone else at the Parish Office (nor any other legitimate organization) will ever request donations via iTunes or other gift cards, money orders, or wire transfers.

This scam, and others like it, have targeted churches and other nonprofits nationwide, and several area parishes have recently been hit. The emails are not being sent from an actual Parish email account – our systems have not been “hacked.” They are sent from newly created public email accounts that are designed to look similar to a Parish email account. Fr. George also has not changed his phone number therefore be weary of any texts from him from an unknown number. If you receive such an e-mail or text, DO NOT REPLY and please immediately delete the email or text message.

Sacramental Outreach Ministry

“Whatever you did for the least of my brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me.”

The Sacramental Outreach Ministry is in need of new members who love the Holy Eucharist. As SOM’s we are entrusted and privileged to bring the “living” Christ (Holy Communion) into the lives of those who can no longer attend Mass. This is a beautiful and fulfilling away to share your faith with our parish community

while serving the Lord.

If you believe that GOD is calling you to be of service in a very special and extra-ordinary way or you have

questions, please contact Charles or Angela Martignetti at 470-313-1650, 470-313-1651 or at 772-489-9257

We are in need of Greeters and Ambassadors!

Greeters wear their best smile and welcome all parishioners to church at all masses.

They hand out bulletins, and other papers as needed

We are also in need of Ambassadors. They are assigned a new family of parishioners according to their family

composition. Ambassadors get to contact the new family to welcome them to our parish, and if possible, arrange to

meet before or after a mass, or even coffee. This way the new family now has another family they know.

If interested, please contact Audra Sypolt at 772-971-3604

The Perpetual Candle Wall is a wonderful opportunity for the intentions you have for your loved ones to be

mentioned at every Mass; whether you are praying for conversions for fallen away family members,

celebrations, or memorials. The candles can be renewed every year. The initial fee, which includes the

engraving of your personal gold plaque is $250. The yearly renewal fee after that is $200.

Please contact Kathy at the Parish Office at 772-461-2233 to order yours today!

What is RCIA?

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process established for the universal Church for individuals to become Catholic

and receive the Sacraments - Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist.

This initiation process also involves a parish community experiencing a renewal in faiths as it prepares and welcomes new members into the

Church. The Rite speaks of conversion as a “spiritual journey” centered on fostering a deep relationship with Jesus and the Church He founded, this journey takes a

place through distinct stages over a period of time.

We will begin the new RCIA process in September.

Open registration will begin on June 3rd and will close on August 30th.

Registration forms will be available in the Parish Office or online at www.stanastasiachurch.org.

Page 9 Fifth Sunday of Easter May 19, 2019 Answer to front page: If you love one another Answer to Word-Find: Jesus comes again

The New Commandment

In the Old Testament, before Jesus came, there were many commandments. They told people how they should live and what they should and shouldn't do. Jesus obeyed the commandments, but He gave His

followers a new one, something different than any of the others: LOVE ONE ANOTHER The love that Jesus was talking about is called charity. It means doing what is best for a person. Here are some ways to love others:

Always think kindly of people. Even when you know something bad about someone, try to think nice thoughts about them.

Always speak kindly about people. Saying bad things about others can hurt them.

Always act kindly toward others. Treat everyone in the way that you would want to be treated. Show that you are a follower of Jesus by how you love others!

St. Anastasia Church & School Joint Capital Campaign Frequently Asked Questions:

- Why are we embarking on this now?

St. Anastasia’s vision is to serve our community and educate the next generation of Catholics who will carry the torch of our Faith into the future. We simply cannot do this effectively in our current situation. Our current parish offices and facilities are more then 60 years old. As one parishioner noted, there will never be a better time for these projects and they will never be any cheaper then right now.

- Why do we need a capital campaign?

Obviously, we are not able to sustain and improve our beautiful parish campus from our offertory alone and it would be irresponsible for the parish or school to incur debt in the amount needed to accomplish this. As many of you have already expressed, this is really the only way to accomplish our goals.

- Why should I consider contributing to the campaign?

We are truly blessed to have the community of faithful believers that we do. As you no doubt have heard, support for a capital campaign was through the roof. It seems that this parish does not need much convincing about our current needs and sacrifices they require. We have a responsibility to grow in our service to the community and build for the future of our church. When we think about the legacy we have enjoyed as parishioners, it seems only right that we as a community would be inspired to give sacrificially for the next generation of St. Anastasia.

- If I can’t make a large donation will my contribution still help? Absolutely, We cannot expect every individual to give at the same financial level. However, what we do need is for everyone to give at the same sacrificial level.

Campaign Prayer

Heavenly Father, We know that you have planned for us more than we can ask, or even imagine. Quiet our fears and help us with any concerns we may have about this campaign, that we may know and experience the abundant life that our Savior Jesus Christ calls us to. Be with us as we make the commitments of sacrifice and effort which will lead us into paths you have placed before us to walk. Continue to fill our St. Anastasia community, parishioners, friends and visitors with cheerful hearts as we respond to the opportunity you have set before us. May our Joint Campaign provide the best parish ministries and school opportunities to our families, children, seniors, the poor and all those associated with our faith community. Jesus, as we believe in the Power of your Holy Name, may we receive your most abundant blessings and grace. Mary, Queen of Apostles, pray for our parish family. Amen.
