Question of the Week (answer on last page)
Q. Wherein did Christ's humiliation consist?
Online Text Giving. If you haven’t tried the online giving at Westkirk, now would be the perfect time to start. You can make donations to specific funds at Westkirk right from your cell phone. Details are available at www.westkirk.org/online-giving. When you get to the page, click on “Westkirk Text Giving”. If you have questions, please email [email protected]. Thank you for your faithful gifts!
Let’s Pray! Need prayer? We’d love to pray with you and for you! We have a couple of options for you if you would like prayer for yourself or a friend or a family member. We have the Concerns List which is printed in the Weekly (this is post-ed online and shared in livestreamed worship) and the Westkirk Prayer Email (which goes out only to Westkirk folks who are committed to praying for others). Prayer requests can be submitted to [email protected]. Please specify whether you would like your name/info shared publicly on the Concerns List or more privately on the Westkirk Prayer Email. And as always, if you have an item that is more sensitive still, let us know and your pastors and staff would love to pray for you during our weekly prayer time!
Remembrance Sunday. On Sunday morning, May 24, Westkirk Presbyterian Church will honor mem-bers and friends that have died since last May. This an-nual ‘Remembrance Sunday’ tradition will continue this year, even if we are unable to congregate but continue
to worship together via livestream. Please contact the church office by email or call by May 19th. We will need the name of the loved one you wish to remember. Call 515-253-0330 or email [email protected]. For more information, please contact Audrene Hansen at 515-243-1679.

A: Christ's humiliation consisted in his being born, and that in a low condition, made under the law, undergoing the miseries of this life, the wrath of God, and the cursed death of the cross; in being buried, and continuing under the power of death for a time.
