Student Revival Prayer Meeting May 18 In The ChapelThis is a special announcement for our students. I will lead a student revival prayer meeting on Wednesday evening, May 18th from 6:30 to 8:30pm in the Chapel. We will follow the same format that I used with our men and women’s prayer meetings. Please make plans to be here and invite your friends to come with you. I believe revival can come through our students. I have been hearing how God is working among our youth and I know God-things will happen on May 18th. The In The Word Bible Study which normally meets in the Chapel will meet in Rm 150 that evening.

Report On Annie Armstrong Easter OfferingI want to thank you, Church, for your generous support for our North American Mission Board Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. Through May 1, our church has given $14,459.41! It’s not too late to give!

VBS June 12-15Our VBS—Very Big Show—will be June 12-15. This is a time for both parents and kids. Fun and Games begin at 5:00 in the Main Street and Skylight Areas. The Show starts at 6:15. Admission is free! Parents, you will leave with new skills to raise great kids. Sue Miller from the re-Think Group will be our keynote speaker for parents. FBCH Mother’s Day OfferingOn Mother’s Day, May 8, we focused on the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes and the special offering taken each Mother’s Day to support this vital ministry. The Mother’s Day Offering is the single most important offering all year for their ministry. In these difficult economic times they need our help. They are the best at taking care of abused and abandoned children and providing a safe and secure environment for children in need. If you haven’t already given, please consider how you can support FBCH. For more information and details, visit their website www.fbchomes.org. This year, the total so far for our Mother’s Day offering through our church is $30,134.17. Thank you church, for your generosity!

God Is Up To Something In Our Church!Church, as your pastor I am sensing God doing something really big in our midst. In September of 1996 we began a 30 day prayer experiment that rocked our church! We asked God to do something so big that it was obviously from Him. He continues to answer that prayer. Please spend some time this week praying and seeking God for revival in your life and in the life of our church. It is all about prayer and obedience.

Let’s pray that our church would have a passion for personal holiness; a passion to win souls; and a passion for biblical giving and generosity.

WomenonMission The Martha Group will meet Tuesday, May 17, 10:00am at the home of Mary Virginia Peaslee, 817 Orange Park Ave. Jenna Coyner is the group leader. Virginia Wilkinson’s group will also meet on Tuesday at 10:00am in Hospitality Place (Rm 690).

HopeGiversMeet on Wednesday, May 18th at 6:15 pm in Rm 180. We will be having a time of discussion, sharing and prayer. Hope Givers is a group meant to encourage anyone with a loved one incarcerated. We’d love to have you join us!

ConqueringCancerThroughChristWe are pleased to welcome Dr. Manuel Molina, a surgical oncologist at Lakeland Regional Cancer Center, as our guest speaker Today at 4pm in Rm 180. There will also be prayer time, fellowship and refreshments. CCTC is for men and women touched by cancer in any way – a spouse, family member, friend or themselves.
