It’s Back!

The "Recycle Your Ride" rebate is available to customers who recycle their current vehicle (2008 model year or older) through a Ford dealership and purchase or lease an eligible new 2014 or 2015 model Ford during the program period.

The Ford ‘Recycle Your Ride’ program is a great way for consumers with older vehicles looking to save on their next vehicle while doing their part for the environment. Since the program was first offered in 2009, Recycle Your Ride has retired more than 50,000 vehicles.

COMMUNICATIONS PLAN

MAY

Television (2 – 30s spots)

• The All-line and the F-150 TV spot will contain the Recycle your Ride messaging with a call out to the $2500 available on 2015 Super Duty.

Radio (3 - 30s spots)

• Dedicated RYR radio spot that speaks to the consumer journey on how to utilize the program • All line campaign radio spot that includes a RYR tag • F150 2-year lease spot that includes a RYR tag • All FDAAs will be supporting the messaging during the launch period • Each market will have a different station mix based on market strengths and listenership

Online

• National HPTOs to launch on May 1st on AutoTrader, Auto Hebdo, Canadian Black Book (Eng/Fre). Auto123 (Eng/Fre) and Cineplex weekend takeover (May 1-3)

• 5 second pre-roll video on autosites and Youtube • Display Banners on Kijiji, AutoTrader, Canadian Black Book and Auto Hebdo • Search & Programmatic Retargeting and Social Sync (targets users who have shown interest in

replacing their current vehicle) : We will serve RYR ads across the Xaxis network. This will include LBox, BBox, 5 second pre-roll and Skyscrapers. (8 weeks May-June)

• Customer must own a 2008MY or older vehicle, of any make or model

• Customer must have owned or insured their 2008MY or older vehicle for a minimum of the past 3 months prior to the program

• Vehicle must be in running condition (able to start, move and without missing parts)

Note: The dealership must arrange to have the 2008MY or older vehicle recycled through an approved recycler in order to claim this rebate.

CUSTOMER ELGIBILITY

RECYCLE YOUR RIDE PROCESS

1 Verify that the customer is eligible for the program

Vehicle is 2008MY or older.

Vehicle is in running condition (start and move and does not have missing parts).

Customer has owned or insured vehicle for the past 3 months.

2 Obtain Customer Documentation

(To be retained in deal jacket)

Vehicle owner signs transfer portion of vehicle ownership, leaving transfer section blank and provides it to dealer.

Customer signs the Privacy Declaration Form.

3 Complete the new vehicle sale in Smart VINCENT

Claim the ‘Recycle Your Ride’ through Smart VINCENT using program number 32107.

You will be asked to enter the VIN (First two/last 8) of the vehicle being recycled in ‘miscellaneous field’.

Print the ‘Customer Cash Claim form’ from SV and have the customer sign it. This signed form must be retained in the dealer jacket.

RECYCLE YOUR RIDE PROCESS

4 Recycle the Vehicle through an approved recycler.

Log in to www.ford.elvmanagement.ca. Complete the online form and submit.

An authorized recycler will be assigned within a maximum of 2 business days. The assigned recycler will then contact the dealer to make arrangements to pick up the vehicle.

The recycler will pick up the vehicle within a maximum of 5 business days unless otherwise arranged with the Dealer.

All vehicles will be picked up at the Dealership. If you prefer to drop off the vehicle at an authorized recycler, please select “drop off by Dealer” on the website.

All vehicles must be either picked-up at the Dealership or dropped off at the authorized recycler by the Dealer. Recyclers will not accept the vehicle if dropped off by the customer.

At time of pick up or drop off, Dealer and recycler must both sign the ARC Pick-Up Receipt (supplied by ARC Recycler). Dealers must retain a copy of this form in the dealer jacket as proof that the vehicle has been recycled.

5 Transfer of Ownership

Vehicle owner signs the transfer portion of vehicle ownership, leaves the transfer section blank and provides the vehicle ownership to dealer.

Dealership must release ownership (with Transfer section left blank) with vehicle to authorized recycler upon pick up or drop off.

Please note: Only authorized recyclers can be used for this program. Vehicles sent to a non-authorized recycler will result in a dealer charge-back of the rebate. Audits will be performed to verify if a vehicle is recycled. Charge backs will occur if a vehicle is not recycled. Failure to retain all required forms will also result in a charge back.

Dealer Jacket Checklist

Your dealership must maintain the following documentation in the deal jacket for audit purposes:

Signed copy of the Privacy Declaration Form

Copy of the Customer’s Ownership/Registration for the vehicle being recycled dating back 3 months prior to the program

OR

Copy of the Vehicle Insurance dating back three months. If the vehicle insurance was renewed in the past 3 months, you may provide a copy of a confirmation of insurance letter from the insurance company

Customer Cash Claim Form (Printed from Smart VINCENT & signed by customer)

Copy of the customer’s driver’s license (only required if the offer is being transferred to an individual domiciled in the same household)

For customers with a vehicle registered in a company name, you must provide “articles of incorporation” to determine eligibility.

(Note: Individuals with vehicles registered to a company that they own in whole or as a majority owner are eligible as long as the company’s fleet is less than five registered vehicles. These customers must provide “articles of incorporation” showing that they own at least 50% of the company for which the vehicle is registered)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will you accept a photocopy of the ownership?

No. You must supply the Recycler with the original ownership. A photocopy of the ownership will not be accepted.

Can you pick up a vehicle at a customer residence?

No. The recycler will only pickup a vehicle at the dealership as directed by Ford.

However, please contact the ARC call centre should you have a special vehicle pick up request, and ARC will make every effort to accommodate your request.

Can we remove or replace parts from the vehicle before it is picked up?

No. The Recycler may refuse to pick up a vehicle if it is not in running condition or if there are missing, replaced or removed parts.

How long will it take for the vehicle to be picked up?

A Recycler will contact you within 3 business days of the submission of your online vehicle form, and will make arrangements with you to pickup the vehicle within 5 business days (2 business days for major urban centres). Please refer to the ARC Service Standards for additional information.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can we drop off a vehicle at an authorized ARC Recycler?

Yes. A dealership may drop off a vehicle at an authorized ARC Recycler. To initiate this request, select the “Dealership drops off vehicle at an Authorized ARC Recycler” option on the online submission form under the “Vehicle acquisition method” section.

Upon selecting this request, the following message will appear:

“You have selected the Drop off option. This option requires you to drop the vehicle off at an Authorized ARC Recycler. Please indicate the ARC Authorized Recycler of choice in the comments section below. If no preference with the assigned Recycler, please indicate “No preference” in the comments section. An ARC Recycler (Preferred as requested or ARC assigned) will follow-up with you within the service standards schedule or within 2 business days preceding your selected future available date.

Please follow the instructions described in the message. A call to the ARC call centre following your online submission is recommended to ensure proper processing of this special request.

Ford Motor Company Right to Audit

The dealership is required to retain photo copies of all required supporting documentation (i.e. Proof of insurance, Proof of registration, etc) in the sales jacket, and the dealership is ultimately responsible for providing proof of eligibility. Ford Motor Company may request documentation to audit Dealer's records to ensure compliance with this requirement. The participating dealership agrees to make available the dealership's records to Ford Motor Company personnel for audit of the vehicle sales claim under this program. Dealers MUST retain for at least two years all records and documents, including journal and ledgers that relate in any way, in all or in part, to covered transactions. Failure to retain such documents will result in chargebacks of paid incentives.

VEHICLE RETIREMENT FORM (ARC PICK UP RECEIPT)

This form is generated by the ARC Recycler and brought to the dealership during pick-up. It must be signed by recycler & dealer when the vehicle is picked-up to be recycled.

The recycler will leave the pick-up receipt with the dealer, and it must be retained in the deal jacket.

Failure to retain the pick-up receipt may result in a charge back. Ensure that you have a signed copy of this form before releasing any vehicle to be recycled.
