What others say about me……

It is my distinct pleasure to recommend to you Penny Mavrikis a most deserving and highly qualified

candidate for a position on your staff. It has been my privilege to know Penny for nearly a year. Ms. Mavrikis

was recently a full time employee with our studio dedicated to design development and construction

documentation with predominantly hospitality clients. In addition she worked occasionally on retail, office,

and restaurant (QSR) development opportunities. During her time with us we observed and appreciated her

overall experience and knowledge, and in particular her dedication to servicing the account she was

assigned to. Penny willingly shared her knowledge and talents with all those around her. She is trust worthy,

dependable, has a remarkable knowledge base of restaurant and retail roll out project types, and has

demonstrated herself to be a welcomed addition to any team requiring thorough and thoughtful design

support. She is gregarious, respectful, and demonstrates a very high degree of caring and concern for her

client’s needs. Penny has a goal oriented work ethic, and maintains a good sense of logic and humor when

faced with aggressive schedule commitments while performing her assignments.

During my professional career of nearly 35 years, I have had the privilege of working with many talented

people. Penny ranks at the top of this group. I highly recommend considering her as a candidate at your

institution or business. She will make a positive impact on all those who have the good fortune to work with

her.

J. Edward Fehér, A.I.A. Prinicipal & Owner, Glavan Feher Architects, Inc.

Penny is a very detail oriented and thorough project manager. She did an excellent job producing a

prototype set of hotel documents for Glavan-Feher with minimal supervision. She set a great example for all

the employees and I would welcome the opportunity to work with her again in the future.

What others say about me……

Penny and I have worked together since the mid 1990s. She is detailed, thorough and puts the end user

first when developing building designs for her clients. Penny brings good humor and extensive experience to

her interactions with people when managing projects. She is well versed in all phases of architectural

services, from design development through construction administration. Lastly, Penny has integrity, is

reliable and diligent.

Melanie Smythe, Principal of Candacity, Can-do Consulting

I am happy to recommend Penny. I worked with Penny on a project as she was the Prototype architect

for a company we were working with as the supplier. Penny's quick response and professional input helped

move the process along smoothly and efficiently.

with a consistent track record of project achievement and

client satisfaction in restaurant, retail, residential, hospitality

and corporate design environments. Strong client

relations, communication and project management skills.

Proven ability to successfully complete large, complex

projects and lead multi-discipline and cross- cultural teams.

Chances are good that I have designed a place you had a

bite to eat, shopped, stayed overnight or where you work.

Good design satisfies our needs; great design enhances

our lives and souls.

Report Excerpt

This is a downtown urban site in the city of Chicago. Lease documents list the site as a “type 3 later tenancy, average complexity” construction type and “storefront inline” real estate type. The site is located in an entire city block with East South Water Street to the north, Lake Street to the south, Stetson to the east and Michigan Avenue to the west. The original complex is known as Illinois Center and was designed by Mies van der Rohe in 1961, comprised of three towers. The newly renovated development consists of two office towers (added in 1981) with 44 and 25 stories respectively bearing the 205/225 North Michigan Avenue address.

One enters the building on Michigan Avenue through a one acre, tree lined plaza. Upon entering, you proceed up the escalator through a three-story space finished in marble, limestone, brushed aluminum and Brazilian cedar wood finishes.

.

The space Chipotle is considering is located inside on the concourse level. The development is zoned as a residential business planned development (RBPD), no. 70. Chipotle will occupy an interior tenant space previously occupied by Boudin bakery. Per the Letter of Intent the space is 2,189 square feet.

Area businesses, food establishments, hotels & entertainment.

A plethora of options are afforded to those who live or work in the area. The enclosed Illinois Center concourse connects to.

· The Hyatt regency Chicago and Swissotel.

· More than 17 restaurants, delis and coffeehouses.
