Four-month placement working with the Gold Coast University Hospital’s Thoracic Surgery Department.
Worked autonomously on a research and development project, to design and create a digital
medical prototype for determining the presence and severity of pleural air leaks.
Calculated product specifications, sourced components, designed and constructed a prototype,
and preformed accuracy testing.
Delivered a fully working prototype and research report to the clients working within a tight
12 week project life cycle.
