Matthew 7:24-27, Luke 6:46-49
“The wise man built his house
upon a rock. The foolish man
built his house upon the sand.
The story of the Wise and
Foolish builders was told by
Jesus in the Sermon on the
Mount. Jesus said that everyone
who listened to him was like a
wise man who built his house
upon a rock and when the winds
blew and rain came that the
house stood firm but whoever
did not listen to Jesus was like a
foolish man who built his house
upon the sand. When the rains
came and the winds blew then
the house fell down because it
was set on sand."
The wise man
wanted to build his
house upon a rock.
The foolish man
wanted to build his
house upon sand.
The wise man built his house upon a rock and the foolish man built his house upon the sand.
The rain came down, the streams
rose, and the winds blew and
beat against the houses.
The wise man's
house stood firm
for it was setting
on a rock.
The foolish Man's
house fell down with
a great crash.
