Failure Meets Success - Balancing Time, Money and Quality
1. Provide a smooth, skid resistant and drained surface
3. Transmit stresses to the foundation material
2. Minimise fatigue and deterioration of the pavement materials
3. Failure due to inadequate bearing capacity of the foundation materials
1. Failure due to inadequate quality
control during construction.
2. Failure of materials due to environmental exposure
4. Failure of constituent materials due to cyclical traffic loading
