Maintenance access is easy for all the components in the UltEco5.
The mechanical and hydraulic systems in the UltEco5 are heavy duty and simple which helps to ensure both longevity and quick maintenance.
The best ergonomics for the operator haven’t been forgotten in the design of the UltEco5. The slewing action of the cab follows the crane and grapple ensuring that the operator is always facing the loading task without having to constantly turn his body or head.
The design of the operator’s work station helps to create a productive work environment with joystick controls for the crane and grapple toge ther w i th peda ls fo r the movement and steering of the machine.
Great emphasis has been placed on providing a low centre of gravity so that the UltEco5 is capable of working in cane planted on side slopes.
Two types of inter-changeable configuration for the grapple and push-piler are offered. This to best adapt to variable ground and crop conditions.
Designed with tough conditions in mind the result is the robust and versatile Matriarch UltEco5.

In cane harvests where the yield is up to 120t/ha, the UltEco5 normally manages to load trucks and trailers with 35 metric tonnes of whole stalk cane in 35 minutes. These figures may vary according to the conditions found at each site.
Fuel consumption is typically 3.8 to 4.0 litres per hour as the JCB engine runs at a low 1200 rpm. Thanks to the hydrostatic system the constant, even engine rpm ensures a long life for the UltEco5.
