MaTHSAYa 2009 1. What should we wear? Participants (a.k.a. contestants) are required to wear their school uniforms. 2. What should we bring? Contestants should bring their own pens and papers for the whole duration of the show. 3. Will our lunch and merienda be provided? Yes, lunch and merienda will be provided. 4. Who can we inform if we have special needs? Please contact Mimi Padua at 09178346464 or email her at [email protected]. 5. Where do we meet on the first day? Once you have submitted your entries, you will be notified where the venue is for the first day. Just be sure you're a bona fide student of your school and are in your third or fourth year of high school equipped with a competitive spirit and a great love for numbers! And to ensure maximum involvement and diversity in the participants, only five (5) students from each school will be allowed to join. Hurry and drop your entries as soon as possible! Limited slots are available! 1. Fill-out confirmation form. No proof of purchase needed. 2. Welcome to MathSaya '09: PaSIXlaban Na! Now on its sixth season, the show aims to promote interest and strength in mathematics among contestants from public high schools within Metro Manila. Famous celebrities from different fields of mathematics have been invited to mentor the contestants and prepare them for the difficult tasks and challenges that are in store for them in this fun-filled math-infused game show of all game shows.

But wait, this is not your ordinary prime time collection of game shows! Inspired by the Ateneo culture, MathSaya does not only seek to enhance the competitive spirit in every contestant but more importantly bring out team work and camaraderie between them. Don't miss this chance! Mark your calendars on the three Saturdays of February, starting on the 7th, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.

ABOUT MATHSAYA '09

Coming from the success of Mathsaya 5: 'Fiveulous', the Ateneo Mathematics Society, better known as the AMS, is back again as hosts for this year's Mathsaya 6! It is not a secret that the passion of AMS revolves around the world of mathematics. AMS has always promoted mathematics as a fun tool in achieving a culture of excellence and service not only to the Ateneo community but to the Philippine society as well. AMS also hopes to encourage enthusiasm in the field of Mathematics which leads to the creation of a larger Math community. Currently, AMS is fulfilling this vision by hosting events, such as Mathsaya, Campmath and the Ateneo Math Olympiad, which cater to Ateneans and other high school students in Metro Manila.
