    KEY MESSAGING

    6

  • The Brains and Brawn Math Bowl is a dynamic 1-day math competition for elementary, middle, and high school students. As a product of the partnership between the Brains and Brawn Foundation and the Mathnasium of Roland Park, the Math bowl looks to cater to and benefit the youth of Baltimore. This event not only shows children and teenagers that education is important, but also that education is extremely beneficial in life. With prizes such as scholarships, Baltimore Ravens tickets, and Baltimore Ravens collectable memorabilia, the Math Bowl looks to show the youth that when you work hard, it will pay off. However, most importantly, the Brains and Brawn Math Bowl aims to highlight the crucial fact that education does not have to be a daunting or dreadful chore. The Math Bowl brings competition, enjoyment, and education together on one platform to make youth aware of the pleasure that learning and challenging yourself can provide. OUR REASON

Both the Brains and Brawn Foundation and the Mathnasium of Roland Park have dedicated their time and efforts to help positively enhance the education of Baltimores inner city youth, hence the creation of this event. In a time where graduation rates are dwindling, drop out rates are sky rocketing, and some kids go to school without a backpack or the books they need, the Brains and Brawn Math Bowl strives to combat these facts by providing an event that focuses on, and praises academic ability while also offering a source of funding for academic needs. OUR PROMISE

The Brains and Brawn Math Bowl commits to providing a safe and fun environment for the youth of Baltimore to come out compete, have fun, and be celebrated for exhibit and practice their academic capabilities. OUR PARTNERS

Our current partners solely include the Mathnasium of Roland Park. However, the donations and support of the Baltimore Ravens organization are greatly appreciated and are a driving force in this event. We value our partners and our contributors not only for their assistance in the execution of the Math Bowl, but also for what it represents in the larger picture. The Brains and Brawn Math Bowl is an event planned, produced, and for the people of Baltimore. This event represents a community working within itself to improve for the better, and hope that these efforts only grow in number over the years to come.
