With these colors, he used a printing technique called the Ben-Day dot process, where small dots were used to create the optical illusion of a specific color. For example, red and yellow dots were layered together closely to create orange. Lichtenstein’s paintings used this technique to make his paintings look like comic book images. Bubble wrap Permanent markers Printed photo or drawing Tape Begin by finding a sheet of bubble wrap that will cover your printed photo. Trim your sheet as needed. Use your permanent mark- ers to color in the bubbles that overlap a section of your image. The bubbles will be your guide. With a darker colored permanent marker, outline the different sections of your drawing. Tape your sheet of bubble wrap down on your image, making sure the bubble side is on the bottom. You will be drawing on the flat side of the bubble wrap. Be careful not to press too hard on the bubble wrap, as it will pop! Continue coloring your image in different, funky colors. Remove your bubble wrap drawing and the tape off your image and flip it over. Hang your drawing on a white wall or tape it onto a white sheet of paper!

Roylichtenstein

Roy Lichtenstein trabajaba y vivía en la ciudad de Nueva York como un pintor de Arte Pop. Él hizo pinturas de historietas, objetos de la vida cotidiana, y escenas de la vida. En su tra-bajo él usa cuatro colores que estaban usando en impresoras en esa época: negro, rojo, amarillo, y azul. Con estos colores él usaba una técnica de imprimir llamado “Ben-Day” punto proceso, donde usaba puntos pequeños para crear la ilusión visual de un color especifico. Por ejemplo, usaba puntos rojos y amarillos para crear naranjado. Lichtenstein usaba esta técnica para crear dibujos como dibujos de cómics.

Encuentre una hoja de abrigo de burbuja que pueda cubrir su foto impresa. Recorte la hoja si es necesario.
