MasterSeal M 689 Waterproofing with Highly Elastic and Chemical Resistant Polyurea Membrane

MasterSeal M 689 offers the best combination of properties to ensure effective waterproofing even in the most demanding conditions.

Main benefits: High elasticity and crack-bridging ensure durability of

the membrane even in contact with unstable substrates. Chemical resistance certified according EN 13529 for

use in harsh chemical environments.

High mechanical resistance for application in loading areas with e.g. forklift traffic.


The effective protection of building structures against water ingress or to prevent water loss is a major challenge. Master Builders Solutions by BASF offers waterproofing solutions in complex industrial installations and infrastructure.

When waterproofing capabilities have to be complemented by resistance to chemicals dissolved in water, special resin based membranes are the best choice as they combine continuous, seamless and crack-bridging waterproofing properties with high chemical resistance.

MasterSeal M 689 has proven high crack-bridging capacities, both static (Class A5 according EN 1504 part 2) and dynamic (Class B4.2 according EN 1504 part 2) even at temperatures below zero.

The membrane shows long term chemical resistance to a wide range of different agents, even under pressure; to EN 13529 Class III.

Combined with high impact, abrasion resistance and long term durability; even when exposed to the effects of UV, MasterSeal M 689 ensures outstanding performance in a variety of applications.

MasterSeal M 689 is applied with special 1:1 hot spray equipment onto the most complex surfaces.
