= Teaching unit with a certain amount of credit points
which students achieve after a successfully passed final exam
Compromises several forms of instructions/teaching,
for example: 1 lecture + 1 tutorial

Modules of the faculty which are chosen by students personally
Can be a lecture or seminar = CE-module and elective module
Has to be a seminar= CE-seminar

Electives should be taught in English
(exception MAN: up to 20 CP in German possible)

semester for it

Bridging Courses: Brückenkurse/module
Is it allowed to take subjects from the master’s study program
during the preparatory semester? YES ….
but recognition of an master’s exam is only possible after
successfully passing all required bridging courses.
IMPORTANT:
Retake only once (summer semester 2017).
Preparatory course failed twice: exmatriculation.
Concentrate on passing the preparatory courses during the
first semester! No admission to the master’s study program, if
you did not pass one of your bridging courses.
Overlapping of bridging courses with compulsory courses?
Focus on the bridging courses and take the compulsory course
during the next winter term.

TAN numbers:
First list (ca. 15 TAN’s) with the student OVGU card;
Always keep 2 left over TAN’s for booking a new list via the LSF;
Recommendation: cross used TAN’s for a better overview;
Order a new list of TANs before the examination registration
starts, to make sure you keep enough.
Advice: Please keep in mind that you need TAN’s for any personal action at
the LSF portal as changing addresses, names, etc.
