How to install Mold EX-Press for Plastic Mold

Please see the attached sheet for details.

First copy the current path of Mold EX-Press from MisumiMold_Path in Environment Variables.

Go to the bin folder at the installation path of Pro/E and find a file [Protk.dat] which was generated automatically during software installation.

A2. Shortcut to Mold EX-Press is not created in your NX tool bar

Once Mold EX-Press is installed successfully shortcut is created automatically in the tool bar of NX. However if other add-in softwares (ex; ET2008) are installed ahead the new shortcut may sometimes not appear. The following method is to allow the softwares in compatible use.

A3. Shortcut to Mold EX-Press is not created in your Pro/E tool bar

Once Mold EX-Press is installed successfully shortcut is created automatically in the tool bar of Pro/E. However if it does not appear please try the following solution.

4422 Paste the current path of Mold EX-press (taken in 2) to the very bottom line. Save and exit.

11Open the Environment Variables in Advanced of System Properties to check the current value. Proceed to the following steps if UGII_USER_DIR is currently occupied with any secondary software.

Next go to the file in UG directly and open the file in txt format. ugii\menus\custom_dirs.dat

Copy the file [Protk.dat].

4422 Paste the file [Prokt.dat](taken in 2) to the [Start in] folder. Then restart the computer.

Open the Pro/E properties to get the path of the[Start in] folder. Go to the folder.

Click the [Contents...] button in [Startup Suite]. The [List of applications] interface will appear.

Open [Tool] of AutoCAD tool bar and select [Load application] so that a new window opens as shown in the right.

Click [Add], select "GML: MsmControllerMold_GML.arx" program in [Add File to Startup Suite] pop-up. This path will be the installation directory of Mold EX-Press.

Click [Add], MsmController...arx will appear in [Startup Suite] as seen in the image shown in the right.

Then click [Close] to finish the step.

A5. Mold EX-Press is unresponsive in AutoCAD

After the installation is complete, the menu as well as the tool bar will appear. If there is no response after clicking them, just proceed with the next methods. After first manual loading, they will appear automatically.

Once Mold EX-Press is installed successfully shortcut is created automatically in the tool bar of SolidWorks. However if it does not appear please try the following solution.

Shortcut of Mold EX-Press is created in the toolbar.33Open [Options] of SolidWorks tool bar and select [Add-Ins].

Both softwares can be installed on a PC and go together so that two MEX names appear as shown in right.

Click the [Contents...] button in [Startup Suite]. The [List of applications] interface will appear.

Open [Tool] of AutoCAD tool bar and select [Load application] so that a new window opens as shown in the right.

Click [Add], select "GML: MsmControllerMold_GML.arx" program in [Add File to Startup Suite] pop-up. This path will be the installation directory of Mold EX-Press.

Click [Add], MsmController...arx will appear in [Startup Suite] as seen in the image shown in the right.

Then click [Close] to finish the step.

A5. Mold EX-Press is unresponsive in AutoCAD

After the installation is complete, the menu as well as the tool bar will appear. If there is no response after clicking them, just proceed with the next methods. After first manual loading, they will appear automatically.

Select Uninstall program for CAD one by one.

Click Start button and open the folder of MISUMI where Mold EX-Press program is located.

Lastly select Uninstall for basic program.

Uninstallation via Control Panel is also available. Select Mold EX-Press and run Uninstall.

A6. How to uninstall via Start menu

Two methods are available for uninstallation; via Control Panel and via Start program.

Select Uninstall program for CAD one by one.

Click Start button and open the folder of MISUMI where Mold EX-Press program is located.

Lastly select Uninstall for basic program.

Uninstallation via Control Panel is also available. Select Mold EX-Press and run Uninstall.

Two methods are available for uninstallation; via Control Panel and via Start program.
