NEW BRIDGE After several years the bridge is finally completed. The Cemetery Board would like to thank each and everyone who donated monies toward the expenses of this bridge. The Engineer’s Report had estimated our cost at $38,377.00. We received $44,840.00 in donations. Due to the fact that it took longer than anticipated for the construction, when the tenders were received the cost of materials had gone up in price. The total cost was $50,965.99. This left us with a difference of $6,125.99 which we had to pay from our daily operating expenses. We have a few projects to complete and donations will be greatly appreciated at any time. We take pride in our cemetery and it is a lovely tribute to our dearly departed ones. Copies of our 2019 Financial Report is on the table in the foyer. The report does not reflect the amount of the bridge as it was paid in February of 2020. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Denis Desaulniers or Helen Chauvin (Annonciation Cemetery Board members).

Le pont est enfin terminé. Le conseil du cimetière tient à remercier tous et toutes de leurs dons monétaires. Le rapport d’ingénieur avait estimé notre coût à 38 377,00$ Nous avions reçu 44 840,00$ en dons. Le coût total était de 50 965,99$. Celà nous a laissé une différence de 6 125,99$ donc nous avons dû payer la différence de nos frais d’opérations. Nous avons quelques projets à compléter alors tous dons seront grandement appréciés. Nous sommes fiers de notre cimetière et c’est un bel hommage à nos chers/chères défunt(e)s. Vous trouverez des copies du rapport financier de 2019 sur la table dans le foyer. Le rapport ne reflète pas le coût du pont. Cette facture a été payée en février 2020. 2nd Sunday of Lent

A holy encounter with God calls us to act on our faith.

When Peter witnesses the transfiguration of Jesus, and the appearance of Moses and Elijah, his first instinct is to “freeze that moment,” by providing tents for the three of them. But that encounter, like any encounter with God’s majesty and providence, is not meant to be frozen or hidden in a tent. It is meant to move us forward in, and to act upon, our faith.
