Mass Vaccinations: Check In Patient

1. Before starting, ensure that you are in PowerChart in eCARE (see QRG on How to Log-In to eCARE)

2. In Powerchart, in the toolbar at top, click Mass Vaccination Check-In

3. Click Search to find a Location

4. Enter Location information to create the Encounter:

Internal Staff (MKUH) = Type in: RD8-GH AC BLUE External Staff (NHS) = Type in: RD8-GH AC RED

Public Patients = RD8-GH AC GREEN

5. Select correct one from the list then click Save.

6. Search Patient button activates. Click Search Patient.

7. In Patient Search box, type in any one or more of these fields, e.g. NHS number or Surname or Date of Birth. Click Search.

8. In Patient Search box, when Patient list appears, select correct patient then click OK.

9. After clicking OK another form window will appear. Search for “Rd8” and select the search then select Milton Keynes General Hospital from the list

10. Any previous Immunisations data for patient loads. Click the Add Immunisation link.

11. Tick the box next to COVID-19. Click Select

12. COVID-19 Immunisation Order will appear in the list. Click Order and Check-In.

13. Note: If Patient does not exist in eCARE, see QRG “Searching and Adding a Patient”
