• Are you in need of any kind? • Is there any way our parish can be of
service to you? Please let us know! Call Joyce Browne at 773.631.4127.
GIVECENTRAL FAQ #4
Does St. Juliana Parish keep all of my donations made at www.givecentral.org? Yes! Every penny of your donations made at givecentral.org goes to its intended recipient. There is no portion withheld by the Archdiocese or any other group. Your Sunday Offerings stay at our parish, your sharing parish donations are sent to Ascension‐St. Susanna, and second collec‐tions go to their respective organizations. If you haven’t yet registered with www.givecentral.org for secure online donations, please do so today! Contact the parish office (773.631.4127 or email [email protected]) for assistance.
The Missionary Spirit Team would like to send a BIG thank you to our staff, school and parish for the overwhelming response to God's call with the Sack Dinner project.
YOU ARE THE BEST! Dear Saint Juliana Missionary Spirit Team, We were all filled with the Holy Spirit as we watched the people of Saint Juliana Parish reach out and care about others. Your efforts provided an opportunity for people to feed the hungry. What a gift! What a joy to see the morning evolve, bag by bag. We are always touched and thankful for God's awesome people. We took 600 sacks to 13 places. I know the recipients are grateful and humbled. Working together we provided a mechanism to help your parishioners do as the Lord asks. With hindsight, we were taught well and pass that on to you. We re‐turned with empty vehicles knowing everyone was involved in a simple ministry where many, many small efforts led to a significant result. And as Uncle Pete would say, "We do it for the Lord." God Bless, Uncle Pete Ministries/Saint John Brebeuf

THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT Do you recognize the sacrament that is celebrated in today’s first reading from the Acts of the Apostles? When Peter and John imposed hands on those who had been baptized, they received the Holy Spirit in the sacrament of confirmation. The reading from the First Letter of Peter and the passage from John’s Gospel both consider the results of our baptism and confirmation. Peter reminds us it is likely that we will have to suffer for what we believe. In today’s Gospel Jesus speaks clearly about the Holy Spirit, referring to a “Paraclete,” one who will stand with us to defend us. Poignantly, Jesus promises his disciples, and all of us, “I will not leave you orphans.” He has never left his followers orphaned. We have always had the Holy Spirit to guide us.

THE ‘THREE LITTLE PIGS’ STORY BUS VISITED SAINT JULIANA SCHOOL To wrap up our “Three Little Pigs” learning theme the Story Bus vis‐ited Saint Juliana Preschool! We all climbed aboard to find a bus full of Three Little Pigs themed toys where we could dress up, build houses (straw, wood and brick) and play inside of the houses. The children enjoyed a fun story time on the Story Bus. It was an exciting adventure in preschool!
