Thank you for your consistent giving!

Saint Clare Community Outreach

The food pantry has a low inventory of food. Items

most needed are creamy peanut butter, canned fruit,

soups, side dishes, canned tuna/chicken, pasta sauces,

brownie mixes, dish/laundry detergents, large brown

grocery bags, and pocket/wall calendars for client

appointments.

The Saint Clare Community Outreach thanks all who

donated yarn for our parish knitters. There is a

“temporary hold” due to an overwhelming response.

The knitters are still welcoming gently used gloves,

mittens, and scarves, and are very much requesting

gently used fleece blankets/throws to be cut down to

make scarves.

Also needed are gently used reading books (pre-K-12th

grade) for the reading program at the Father Ozanam

Center. All of these items may be left in or around the

white containers at the church entrances. Thank you

for your donations.

From February 26-April 5, you’re invited to join other

Christians for 40 Days for Life —40 days of prayer and

fasting for an end to abortion. You’re also invited to

stand and peacefully pray anytime between 7:00 a.m.

to 7:00 p.m. during the 40-day vigil in the public

right-of-way outside Preterm, 12000 Shaker Boulevard,

Cleveland, Planned Parenthood, 25350 Rockside

Road, Bedford Heights, Family Planning, 54 South

State Street, Painesville. Join us at the Kickoff Rally at

Saint Justin Martyr Church in Eastlake on February 25

at 7:00 p.m. with Keynote Speaker:

Fr. Daniel Bowen, O. de M. Contact John Noall at:

Be on the Lookout!

Once again, beginning the First

Sunday in Lent, a weekly chal-

lenge entitled “Cut It Out” will

a p p e a r i n t h e

bulletin to help you apply the

Sunday Scripture readings to your

P r a y e r , F a s t i n g a n d

Almsgiving this Lent. Suggested

activities will be appropriate for people of all ages,

from young children to older adults. We encourage

you to “Cut It Out,” tape it on your refrigerator,

your bathroom mirror or some other place where

you will see it every day. Choose one or all of the

suggested Lenten challenges and share your

experience with your family—including

grandparents and adult children.

Hello again, it is truly a pleasure to be able to reach out to the parish communities and share all of the amazing

happenings at Corpus Christi Academy. Although the winter has been quite calm to this juncture, we have had

to deal with some students and faculty being “under the weather.” As we continue to weather the storm, we

ask for your prayers for the health and safety of all of our students. Your intercessions are integral to

keeping “The Academy” in the good graces of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Similarly, this long President’s

Day weekend will allow us to catch up on our rest and rejuvenate ourselves for the remainder of the school

year! Also, please keep our Eighth Grade students in your prayers as they are reaching the final steps in

preparation for Confirmation. Your support and positive examples provide them with the strength and resolve

to complete the Confirmation process.

As for ME AND MY HOUSE, We will serve the Lord!

- Joshua 24:15

God Bless,

Matthew Tabar, Principal

This is a fun evening for families of ALL ages to come together and prepare for this holy season. We have a

relationship with the Lord throughout Lent. We encourage grandparents, single friends,

teenagers and neighbors to join your family for this special evening. BRING A SNACK TO SHARE.

Women’s Bible Study

A ten-session women’s study of the Book

of Hebrews will be starting at Saint Paschal

Baylon and meeting on Wednesday

evenings. Please join us in the rectory

parlor on Wednesday, March 4, from

7:00-9:00 p.m. for the first session.

Through reviewing of Old Testament

heroes and practices, the author of

Hebrews demonstrates HOW the New

Testament is superior to the Old and

HOW Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of

every Old Testament promise. By

exploring familiar stories in context of the

entire Bible we can learn how God

“provided something better for us” in

Jesus Christ and to place our hope and

trust in Christ alone. The study guide,

“Better: A Study of Hebrews” by Jen

Wilken can be purchased at

Mosack’s Christian Gift store on Mentor

Avenue or various online sites for $13.99.

For more information or questions, please

contact Lois Heil at 440-537-2853 or Lee

Costanzo at 216-409-9961.
