Jesus assures us in the Gospel that he will dwell within us, and the Holy Spirit will teach us and remind us of what he taught. This is good news for us, because it means we are not making this Christian journey alone. We are today, like the early Church of Jerusalem, taught and guided by the Spirit. We need only listen and have faith in his working with us. St. Agnes Parish is pleased to offer the Pre-Authorized Offering program (PAO). This automatic debit option is available to you for your convenience in making your Sunday contribution to our Parish. If you can’t attend Holy Mass on a particular Sunday, or you are away during the summer, your offering will still be made for you automatically. Occasionally in the year special collections are taken up for other causes like Development & Peace, the Bishops’ Collection, and help in times of crisis. These collections are not debited automatically and you can contribute to these in the weekly collection basket by using a pink visitor’s envelope from the pew and writing your name, address and donation amount on it. Alois Justen, sac, the first pastor of St. Agnes also built a church in Swan River (Northern Manitoba)– St. Columba Church – in 1952? Fr. Justen spent 15 years of untiring service in Swan River and surrounding missions. The priest and people of this northern community need our help with repairs & renovations to their church. This summer, be specific and plan what you would like to accomplish with your children: more reading together, more time hiking, more family game nights, more time spent preparing and cooking as a family, etc. Time spent together creates confident, healthy children.
