Abey Veneer Tremor Ties two-part construction,

consists of an arm piece which is manually fitted to an

anchor plate. This reduces injury potential by eliminating

protruding ties and jagged edges. The anchor plates canbe fixed prior to commencement of bricklaying, and the

arm inserted as the brick courses rise.

Tremor Cavity Ties

for 50-100mm Cavities

Tremor Ties two-part construction allows for differential

up, down or sideways movement between two skins of

a cavity wall, but prevents bricks from pushing inwardsor outwards. The two-part construction allows first wall

to be constructed without dangerous protrusions from

brick ties, then clipped into place during the laying of the

second leaf.

rising damp and the rotting of floor joists. Abeys Slimline Vent

Corrosion Zones

Masonry, Anchor, Corrosion Zones

NOTE The above map represents an indication of corrosion zones within a costal environment. As a general rule the closer

the dwelling is located to the sea the more corrosive the environment and the greater the level of corrosion resistance,

masonry anchors need to provide.

0-1km Severe Marine Environment.In the most extreme costal environment within 1 kilometre from the sea where

highly corrosive moist air is evident (R4) Stainless Steel (wire or sheet metal) is the only option for masonry anchors to be used.

Similar protection levels should be utilised in other corrosive environments eg alpine areas where weather extremes can behighly corrosive.

1-10km Medium Marine Environment.When building within 1-10 kilometres from a severe marine environment,

the recommended masonry anchor sheet metal fixing is (R4) stainless steel or red heavy galvanised wire ties.

10km+ Moderate/Mild Environment.The minimum recommended rating for environments beyond 10 kilometres

is (R2) Z600 galvanised sheet or red heavy galvanised wire ties.
