The Mascot’s internal divider system allows for the cot to be shortened in length whilst a child is small. It can be removed as the user grows meaning that an appropriate sized sleeping area is always achieved. This also creates a useful storage area.

Why buy a Mascot Mk2?As the market leading expert and supplier of adjustable Care Cots, Theraposture Ltd have concluded that there is a need for a cot bed that offers enough flexibility to change when needs change.

Frequently care cots can be over specified to cater for possible future needs that are not always known. This adds to the cost and in many cases this extra specification is never needed.

The solution is a modular design that is interchangeable and adaptable so that the cot bed can be easily modified in a cost effective way.

Soft windows A safe, cosy & secure environment Optional top edge paddingThese clear windows make a massive difference to a cot that requires padding as without them, the cot may appear enclosed. As they are soft, they become part of the padding and therefore safety is not compromised. Our windows are double ‘glazed’ with a pocket of air and are perfectly transparent.

Our padding and mattresses always fit together snugly so there are no gaps which could pose an entrapment risk. We commonly use soft-touch Panvelle or vinyl for Theraposture padding which is non-permeable, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and anti-fungal.

It can either be attached with Velcro or bolts for extra security and fabrics are available in a vast range of fun designs along with bite proof/anti-tear materials.

Every Mascot Mk2 can be padded however you wish. If you choose for door padding to be full height then we can pad over the top edge as well so safety is enhanced. One of our Trusted Assesors will be able to consider whether this is required during the assessment process.

Two choices in function

On all Mascots the variable height range is 60cm which means that the BSEN60601-2-52 regarding safe working heights is met.

The starting height of the mattress surface is just 23cm making this one of the lowest cot beds available. This rises to 83cm when the entire cot bed is lifted to ensure that the full cot side height is maintained even in the highest position.

Because the door inserts are removable, you can specify any combination of rails or Perspex on all Mascot beds, either at the time of provision of retrospectively. Feed tube or ventilation tube holes or slots can be provided if needed. The removable door inserts also allow for padding, rails or Perspex at any time.
