Now, faculty has to buy out of their own discretionary budgets.

Management & Personnel Issues

Within the next two years, two librarians are retiring Another is planning to leave to take another position Only one librarian does not have a JD Have 7 years to earn tenure 12 month schedule Sabbaticals are granted, just not the last year before

retirement.

Collection Management

Librarians are liaisons to different areas of law.

UF vs. NYU for #1 LLM program in Tax Law in the country. So, Tax Law has carte blanche.

That said, oversight is fairly loose. If the money is there, librarians can order whatever they see fit…requests, Yankee slips, librarians’ recommendations.

Materials Processing and Technical Services

All processing is done in house.

Do download some catalog records from vendors.

Most is done by staff cataloguer…quality issue.
