When Martin Schwartz’ series of Cityprints hit the Copenhagen market in 2013 it was an instant success. His detailed illustrations of the city’s buildings proved that postcards and posters can be much more than just a mere sourvenir.

By turning the traditional postcard into a high quality product, Martin Schwartz’ series of cityprints have proven, that costumers are willing to pay a high price for a unique sourvenir.

Having sold thousands of copies of his Copenhagen prints, Martin Schwartz turned to the Berlin market. Again his cityprints proved very succesfull and his series of Berlin prints are now selling from many of the most prominent museum and interior shops.

Who buys?The target group for Martin Schwartz’ cityprints are tourists, locals, expats....simply everybody with a connection or love for the city. Many companies and hotels also buy the cityprints for decoration.

The series is sold from selected shops associated with quality. Typical shops are musuem shops, book shops, art shops, and interior shops.

The product:

The idea behind cityprints is to capture the DNA of a city by depicting both its iconic, historical as well as typical buidlings. The illustrations are higly detailed, almost photorealistic, but all buidlings are drawn as elevations in order to add a graphical harmony to the print. Every series consists of a number of cards and a poster. Both cards and posters are printed on high quality paper (Ivory).
