Sister Christina, our Pastoral Assistant, is looking for volunteers to assist with our parish sacramental programmes (First Confession, First Communion & Confirmation). This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience for young adults looking toward a teaching career. Interested? Call the parish office and leave your name and number.
ALTAR SERVERS The Ministry of Altar Server is open to any boy or girl Grade Three and up. Interested students may come to the Sacristy before Mass. Our Sacristan, Paul Zingone, will gently train you on site, over a number of Sundays. Parents, this is a wonderful opportunity for your son or daughter to gain confidence and to participate fully in the Mass.

TIME WITH GOD – OFF AND RUNNING
Our popular Time with God Programme will resume on Sunday, September 23rd at the 9:30 a.m. Mass. Children from JK to Grade 3 are invited to the parish hall at the beginning of Mass. There, they will listen to the Word of God at their own, age‐appropriate level. They return to their parents at the Offertory.
PARISH DEBT INFORMATION After 12 years, we still owe $252,320.00 on the rectory mortgage. This is an interest bearing loan. We also carry a debt of $213,193.00 (interest free) from our elevator project. Our total parish debt is $465,513.00. After paying our share to Archdiocesan projects, we have received $167,000.00 to date from the Family of Faith Campaign. This money is used to pay down our debt. Thank you for your gifts and pledges.
CHANGE TO TELEVISED MASS Beginning September 9, 2018, the Archdiocese of Toronto will partner with the National Catholic Broadcasting Council to provide the Sunday TV Mass to Catholics across Canada. Vision TV will carry the Sunday Mass at 8:00 a.m. Weekday Masses are broadcast Monday to Friday at 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 Noon, Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Weekday Masses are broadcast on Salt & Light TV, Monday to Saturday at 11:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. For more information, visit www.dailytvmass.com.

Teachers provide basic Catholic teaching in the class room, and the parish provides immediate preparation for First Confession, First Communion and Confirmation at the church. The parish also provides opportunities for students to celebrate the Sacrament of Confession, and special programmes like the Tableau Stations and the “We Learn About the Mass” programme. Kudos to our wonderful principal Mr. Steve Peters and to his first class teaching and support staff.
