THE NOBNOCKET INN ONMARTHA’S VINEYARD

The Nobnocket Boutique Inn on Martha’s Vineyard is a lovely inn located in Vineyard

Haven. Newly renovated, the Nobnocket is full of character, color and is your home away

from home. Truly!

Owners Annabelle and Simon invited me to stay the weekend, and it ended up being such a

peaceful and welcoming visit. And I actually had the best nap I’ve had in years there.

Backing up a bit though… Martha’s Vineyard is an island approximately 45 minutes away by

ferry from Woods Hole, MA. It’s an easy and picturesque trip from Boston, minus the dumb

93 South traf�c :\.

Once you’re on the ferry, this is your view… so I can’t really complain.

After exiting the boat, I picked up our subtle blue Wrangler from Budget, which is right

around the corner from the ferry, and drove the 5 minutes to the inn.

The inn is located in a residential neighborhood in the Vineyard Haven. It’s a quiet area

surrounded by woods with a faint ocean view.

Once I arrived, I had a quick tour of the common areas and the guest rooms.

The common areas are perfect for morning coffee, happy hours or night caps. Couches

galore and a lovely complimentary bar.

I especially love the breakfast/bar area. All of your needs are covered – water, coffee, tea,

hard stuff. Anything you might need!

I thoroughly poked around the common areas, and then I head up to explore the guest

rooms. Each room was thoughtfully decorated according to a speci�c color. Pink, green,

yellow… and more!

When I wasn’t laying in bed, I was sitting on my porch on the chicest velvet couch. Or in the

�ercest tub.

In the morning, the Nobnocket team offers a complimentary breakfast either served in the

common area or in your room. Most rooms have a table and chairs just for this reason.

While we’re talking about food and if you’re in need of a dinner rec while you’re on the

island, go to State Road. It.is.OUTSTANDING.

After breakfast is the perfect time to explore the island. I went during the slow season, but

winter or summer the island is easy to photograph.

The weekend on the Vineyard was so peaceful. I was sad to leave but I’m hopeful that I will

make it back to the island very soon.
