INDIVIDUALISED SHORT BREAKS: • For those children for whom group based activities do

• Short Breaks in the Home: Again for those children for whom group based activities do not work and could also be for those children and young people with more complex needs where their short breaks take place in the home, enabling parent/carers to perhaps go out for their break.

We have 16 children who are in receipt of this service at this time.• Overnight Short Breaks: For those children/young people who

are assessed as needing overnights. These can take place in the child’s own home or:

• Butterflies Fostering Short Break Scheme: with a foster carer who is specifically trained to cater for the needs of disabled children.
